jetjinx: Where are the free games, if any?

Poor me...
Doesn't anyone just explore the drop-down menus anymore?

Anyway, go to "store" > "browse all games" > "filters" > "price" > "free".

o_O how did you know

The truth is we're not slowing down with Galaxy Client development.

Johny you are the biggest tease ever. Stop playing with our emotions bro. Lol
Is there a way to reset window size and position to default on galaxy? I hate when I launch certain games and it resizes the galaxy windows to super small from it's original size.

You can set desired size and position of Galaxy's window in a "config.json" file (you can edit it with notepad) located in %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\GOG.com\Galaxy\Configuration. For example:

"window.height" : 810,
"window.maximized" : false,
"window.width" : 1440,
"window.x" : 240,
"window.y" : 135

Thanks a lot man! I was looking for this in the regedit info and could not find it. seems like gog has the info in appdata…. nice work gog lol
OK. I've sent a support ticket (https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/requests/304264) and I'm wondering how long does it usually takes to get an answer. Because it has been 10 days and I'm not even sure if anyone as even read it.

I've been holding on playing games with archievements and big games (that requires big downloads) and I still can't install The Bard's Tale Trilogy (and apparently, I have the same problem with Evil Island and Freedom Force). I do hope that if GOG is working on a new version, that these problems will be corrected.

LOL at the SPAM BOT

After some use I'm starting to like the Galaxy client... it's faster and lighter then STEAM... and also the games starts even if it's closed...

If there was an option to set all the games in offline mode it could be perfect.

There is. Use the offline installers, instead of the galaxy installers.

It's not a "mode", but you can still lauch games through Galaxy even if you're offline. You just won't have features like cloud saves or tracked gamepaly time or achivements.

Try running a game through Galaxy after disabling your internet connection for a bit.
The game section on the left should be accessable (as in installed games not the game library).

...
*after testing*

Yup, works.
See the attached screenshots (red to point out it's the same game and blue for the differences in offline operation).

Actually it is... I don't need to disable my internet connection, I can just disable the Galaxy service to obtain this, but still I can't get what I want...

Galaxy Client ONLINE (for updates and forum things) -> Game OFFLINE (as you didn't installed it with galaxy, no cloud no achievements, nothing)

By disabling the service I can launch the game offline, but then I can't check for updates with Galaxy, I just need a switch that tells to a game to not use the service... that's all

I don't mind about all those other online functionalities, and luckily there's already a way to disable them in the options.
Can I download a game - put it on a USB drive then to my OFFLINE - win XP PC (offline since 2012) thanks for your help and time ..>>Kevin

So long as the game is compatible with XP, yes. You can see compatibility on the right side column on a game's store page.

Just to be clear: you want to download the game's backup installer and to move that to your XP machine. Since you posted in the Galaxy forum, I wanted to be clear that you don't want to use Galaxy's normal installation, just use Galaxy or your browser to download the backup installer.
