HypersomniacLive: On a side note, could we, perhaps, agree not to use the term "scum" when referring to the Mafia? There's always a chance there's a SK in play.
Scum and mafia are synonyms for me in the context of the game, I wouldn't classify a SK as scum since they're not aligned with the mafia.
avatar
mchack: In that none of my earlier scum suspects are suspect to me anymore (like lift going after scene as his scum partner screaming for either lynch or modkill? -> nope, he's as lock town as it gets for me now (other than being town innocent child of course) same with bookwyrm. and I guess SPf. which really annoys me since I had them as my major scum trio and now they are all pretty much confirmed town to me :/ blergh. thank you scene! :P) [...]
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Because absolutely none of supplementscene's mafia-buddies, should he be one of the team, would bus him in a heartbeat Yesterday if they thought he's going down, right?

What if supplementscene isn't a member of the mafia team, but the SK? Would that case still clear everyone on his wagon?
not saying lock-scum just scum points. We'll see what else will happen in the course of the game.

As for scene being SK. Sure that'll yet again throw all my reads into re-evaluation phase. But I'm inclined to think he's mafia, because as a SK the mafia would probably have nightkilled him, thinking him the juicy target he claimed.
But we'll all know more after his flip.
@ZFR can you please confirm or deny you gave me a warning please? I'm already upto 4 votes and think only you can save my good name. Thanks in advance

As for the less reactionary players, why lynch when you can investigate?

avatar
supplementscene: I think there potentially could be 4 Scum players on my Wagon yourself included. If there is higher number of Scum they could take a high risk strategy and create wagons with their numbers.
avatar
gogtrial34987: For future reference: at this point your wagon had 4 votes: JoeSapphire, gogtrial, trentonlf, Lifthrasil.
...
I don't even know how to begin constructing a useful question about this.
How about, "You did read the C9++ setup document, right? So how do you think the SK would be coordinating with the mafiosi for this high risk strategy?" no... it just... *shakes his head and walks away*
(Oh meh, Lift wrote a similar thing already; ah well. Urgh, and dedo too! And mchack... C'mon guys, I know I'm three days late, but I saw him first!) >:P

avatar
supplementscene: While you maybe Town, why keep asking the bandwagon man the same questions as if you expect some huge insight on 1 or 2 throwaway comments amongst the reems and reems of posting I've made???
avatar
gogtrial34987: Because you keep dodging and refraining from answering. And every time you do so, I grow more convinced that I'm on the right track. Which is rather helpful, as I tend to doubt myself a whole lot.

avatar
supplementscene: I think there potentially could be 4 Scum players on my Wagon yourself included.

And that includes you ofcourse.

Joe voted me on the first page randomly

SPF also asked about my posting style
avatar
gogtrial34987: So, I ask you who/what stands out, and you end up naming everyone on your wagon, no one on Poppy/Vitek's wagon (which at this point was Dessimu, you and Bookwyrm) and SPF. That's... not exactly helpful.

*frowns* Why SPF?
(Or was he no longer part of your answer to my question, and just a segue to you voting Lift?)

avatar
supplementscene: At the moment I'm going with Lift, Decimu and one other as most likely Scum buddies if there in fact just 3 of you. But Decimu made a random comment and maybe there's 2 more on my wagon.
avatar
gogtrial34987: So between me, Joe and trent, which one of us stopped being potential scum at this point? And why?
And so Dessimu is on your most likely scum team, but wasn't worth mentioning in answer to my "throwing heat" question?.
None of you stopped being Scum. But Dessimu has been on my radar throughout Day 1, he was my first vote, I listed my analysis of him go and read it. You talked about 'throwing heat' I assumed you meant the players on my wagon but actually Dessimu was close to voting for me to and I'm pretty sure he would of wagon jumped if he was active.

I'm genuinely unsure which players on my wagon were/are Scum. I'd have to go back and look at the order they voted. But then I'm unsure whether the Scum player would want to start the wagon early or get on late as it's gathering pace. Lift generally was my strongest Scum read throughout but I've been wrong in that in the past. Trent and Lift have twisted my words after my vote. You Gogtrial have tunneled continually at me. And Joe stayed on my wagon throughout. There HAS TO BE SCUM THERE!!!!

I'm not going to step away from my logical analysis because I suspect 2 players more intensely. It doesn't stop me suspecting Trent, Joe, GOG. And I could have misread those first 2 and it could be Trent, Joe and GOG as Scum.

avatar
supplementscene: [...] @gogtrial I'll have to get back to this later. But I'm afraid it maybe in the form of a drunk [...]
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Am I the only one reading that "drunk" like he left himself an out in case he contradicts himself?
You're reading a bit too much into that one. As a highly functioning alcoholic I can drunk post quite well I'll have you know. I have a high threshold and I'm only on my third tonight.

There's already plenty of rope to hang me with. But isn't there anyone else lynchworthy?

avatar
supplementscene: @Joe Sorry I read first. I think it's better to not reveal who I protect so certain Scummies are second guessing.
avatar
SirPrimalform: No no no, there's no reason to keep that to yourself. Who you "protected" last night has no bearing on who you'll "protect" tonight.

Who did you target last night?
Maybe that's true and maybe it is not ;)
avatar
supplementscene: Right before I get hammered consider this. What if I am Doctor? (I AM). Wouldn't that be a mistake? What if Scum are not lynching me because they know they'll get a free misslynch??? Don't you think it may just be better to investigate me tonight?
avatar
Lifthrasil: How do you know that there is an investigator?

avatar
supplementscene: @Everyone. Part of the PM that I thought would help Scum wasn't copied, it was removed
avatar
Lifthrasil: But with this you directly contradict post 387 in which you claimed that you revealed your whole PM. So, did you lie in post 387? Or are you lying now? ... Doesn't actually matter since both can't be true at the same time and Lynch all Liars is a rule for a reason.

avatar
supplementscene: @Joe Sorry I read first. I think it's better to not reveal who I protect so certain Scummies are second guessing.
avatar
Lifthrasil: You're not supposed to reveal whom you will protect next (if you survive this Day), but whom you protected in the past Night. Revealing that isn't dangerous for town. But your sentence that you don't want to reveal whom you protected implies that you did indeed protect someone. So not only did you survive the night. You apparently were also not roleblocked, although the majority of the scum-setups (and the more likely ones too) contain a roleblocker. So scum decided for some reason to not act at all against you.
I think this is Scummy talk that further increases my suspicion of you and SirPrimalForm

There are certain facets of being a doctor that should not be revealed to Scum. That obviously includes a doctors strengths and powers alongside who they protect. If you're going to ask me to do that I'd have to assume you're Scum playing dumb.

Vote Lift or SirPrimalForm maybe...hmmm it's bloody obvious a doctor shouldn't reveal all.

Don't forget to give some yourself.

Seriously though, why are you turning this about lock-scum and scum points when I question your decision to have everyone on supplementscene's wagon as confirmed town?

Would only players not on the mafia team go over his claim and notice things that look/are off about it? If yes, why? And do you discard the case they might have picked up something in it that tipped them off he is scum, but left him alive (for a couple of reasons I can think of)?

The C9++ mafia wiki page begs to differ.

You were asked before, I'll ask again? How do you know that there's a Cop in play?

Really? What game was that?
avatar
HypersomniacLive: The C9++ mafia wiki page begs to differ.
And this page contradicts itself within one sentence, defining it as the informed minority even though serial killers are not informed. Anyway, I'll try and stick to saying mafia and SK, but if I do use the term scum then read mafia.

I don't but I assume it's likely there's a cop

In SecretHitler I was wrong about RWarehall who got Scumbuddied and the last game I was just wrong about Vitek.
If supplementscene isn’t mod killed he is definitely lying and needs to be lynched, he’s already double posted again.
avatar
Lifthrasil: Ah! I understood that your 'same question to you' referred to the question I had asked in the post you quoted. [...]
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Heh. Unless you said somewhere you knew there's a Cop in the game and I missed it, why would I ask you that?

I should have said that I didn't ask you and SirPrimalform that question strictly in relation to supplementscene.

If you think that he's lied about being the Doctor Townie, you must think that he's scum (Mafia or SK). After how things went for him EoD, I wonder - do you think that he wasn't prepped by his mafia-buddies in the 48hrs since? Or if he's the SK, do you think that he didn't take some time to see if and how he can dig himself out of that mess?
1. That's why I was confused by the question

2. Sure, in a different situation, especially if the Doc can't protect the same target twice, such an information could be useful for scum.

3. I have no clue what other scum tried to teach Scene at Night or what he planned to do as SK. Maybe this 'I don't want to say anything that could benefit scum' is just his way to appear towny? Perhaps he thought that would work better than making up someone he 'protected'? Who knows.

avatar
supplementscene: As for the less reactionary players, why lynch when you can investigate?
Because town can't know if there even is an investigator. And you haven't answered yet why you are so sure that there is one.

I'm not saying everyone on his wagon is locktown. I'm saying I can't imagine Lift or Bookwyrm or even SPf being scumbuddies with scene. Can you? seriously?

it's a moot question. I'm fully intending to see his flip at the end of today and then we'll see. If he is mafia, none of this matters. if he is SK, I need to go back through all of D1 re-evaluating all my reads anyway. Why do it now, when we don't know yet? Maybe there isn't even a SK around? who knows? I don't.
Vote count:

trentonlf: If supplementscene isn’t mod killed he is definitely lying and needs to be lynched, he’s already double posted again.
True. And ZFR is around. The modkill hasn't happened. So Scene's "I'm on probation and if I even double post again I'll be modkilled" statement was another lie.
avatar
SirPrimalform: And this page contradicts itself within one sentence, defining it as the informed minority even though serial killers are not informed. Anyway, I'll try and stick to saying mafia and SK, but if I do use the term scum then read mafia.
Funny thing, SKs are still mentioned on that page. Perhaps it's the case when a SK is the only scum in a setup (I think that JMich run such a setup once)? The definition is definitely not true when there's a mafia team + SK, but then it's also not true when there are more than one mafia teams.

I appreciate the effort, and will keep the disclaimer in mind.

Perhaps I have a more vivid imagination than you?

Let's just say that I'm not ready to discard anything this early in the game.
Vote supplementscene

I'm okay with policy lynches on repeat rulebreakers and most likely liars. I also don't think many of his suggestions for who cops should investigate and what he can and can't reveal make sense.

Also, if my understanding of the setup is correct (I just jumped in and could be wrong) scum was roleblocked last night. It was either mafia trying to kill town (or I guess getting really lucky with a serial killer hit - but I'm going to assume most likely town) or serial killer trying to kill mafia / town. I don't understand why supplement wouldn't tell use who he protected to try and help out.

I expect some random made up name shouted out in desperation after he sees this vote.

Hey Ixam, it’s great to see you playing again!! You gave your thoughts on Supplementscene, what are your thoughts on the rest of the game? Not asking for a reads list, just your overall thoughts.
