You realize you're talking in past tense in both instances there right? I was talking about now, not back then. Of course tons of achievements were unlocked and time was played, W3 is/was extremely popular, but no doubt played a ton less now than when it came out, and quite likely some of them stopped using Galaxy along the way for playing it (after they found out it wasn't necessary to play).

Yes, and we can also assume that a vast majority of them are new users that joined specifically for The Witcher 3 and the Galaxy client. :)

Well the million users using Galaxy for Wither 3 was stated like a couple of weeks ago, they had like 700 hundred thousand or less when that video was released. So over 300 thousand users joined Galaxy between June and now. So even still I think we can assume the same thing.

Of course we don't have the data for right now, but it's pretty clear that many people are using Galaxy. More than this forum would like to believe.

Correction on my previous post, wasn't the main reason as it was listed as one of the many reasons. Here is the relevant quote from the thread:

My gaming PC is still offline, just the way I like it.

Many may feel it's liberating being online all the time. I feel the opposite.

I'm very much with you on that. I think it's important to have an always offline PC that doesn't suffer from the possibility of leaking sensitive information (one-way data into the machine, never off).

I have it installed but I don't use it. For downloading, I use the sleek GOG Downloader. I just open up Galaxy to see if an update already brought the functionality of keeping track of game time. It still doesn't. That's the only plus I see in Galaxy, to know how long I've been playing a game, but it's still 'coming soon'.

I might give it a try when a native GNU/Linux version comes out, but I’m not part of the target demographics.

Anyway, I think it’s nice to provide an *optional* client for the people who like such things.

I was one of those begging for it to become a reality and I was all over it on release, but it's just too beta for me and I uninstalled it a few weeks later and haven't been back to it since then.

I'm pretty sure I'll come back to it in the future when it's a little closer to the final product.

I have over 300 games on GOG. I don't use it and I do not intend to use it.
I have always loved GOG for delivering games and games alone, without any additional unnecessary software.

I like achievements, and sometimes I play multiplayer, but I prefer these things to be built into my games.

Actually one nice thing with Galaxy running in the background is that the icon blinks when a chat message is incoming.
