hedwards: Apparently, you have to have a recent version of Android in order to partake, otherwise they won't let you in on this. Which is bullshit, I realize that I've got an old phone, but I'm really curious as to what functions they needed that wouldn't work with older phones.
Niggles: Unfortunately some devs feel its too much of an effort to support older android OS's.. which imho is silly... plenty of people either dont want to, dont have a need (or budget wise) to change phones or older OS 2.3 move to 4.x. Still plenty of older android users out there. Also this is 110mb. Bit on heavy side.
It's probably time to upgrade my phone, but any app that runs on 2.3 is going to work on more recent handsets. This wasn't terribly surprising, with the 110mb of download, it probably wouldn't have run on most of those older ones anyways, but with link2sd, a lot of things like that can run on older devices.
The bigger irritation is things like Udemy's client that won't run on older versions, and I'm still trying to figure out what exactly they needed to run a video on older handsets that wasn't there.
