Sachys: Can't see much info on the games through that link - how is it they're dystopian and noir (I've not played them)?
It's hard to give any specifics because (a) that would include heavy spoilers, and (b) the games aren't very specific about what's going on themselves, but the ingredients are definitely there, IMO. If you really want to know, just play Gravity Bone and decide for yourself. It's free and only takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Well, thats a start - and a bonus for the list! Heheh. Actually I think some people I know have 30 flights too - I'll ask them how well it fits in (unless anyone here agrees with you of course).

Actually, now that I think about it there might be some of the desura freebies etc that count too!

Cheers Leroux!
Dreamweb?

Messiah has elements of both too.

Recognise the name but I can't say I'm familiar with it - can you give me a good link please?

cheers Tychoxi - rather busy right now so you've saved me some frustration! :)

Oh, scummvm freebs? NICE!
Err... Bioshock series?!?

Also Contrast is definitely Noir, not sure how dystopian it is though:

I guess Stacking is kinda dystopian compared to how happy you'd EXPECT a world populated entirely by Matryoshka Dolls to be...

I'm wracking my brain and now I'm remembering Grim Fandango and feeling sad its not available

I guess LA Noire just isn't dystopian enough and Phoenix - Deep Space Resurrection isn't available either (I wonder what happened to that, actually as Team 17 seem to be flogging the rest of their back catalog for all its worth...)

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Discworld Noir yet.

Doesn't matter if it's not available - it can be added to the list (might add wishlist links later) if you can provide another link (ie mobygames).
As to bioshock - definately swings between a definate and a maybe, but will add to the list as well - tomorrow though! :)

Hardly a dystopian setting though - but will add it to the "should interest" part of the list

For Phoenix?

Its a strange one because gameplay is pure Wing Commander but then the cut scenes are then randomly and slightly jarringly pure Noire (IIRC anyway - can't find any vis on YouTube to back me any - can anyone else remember it?)

Bioshock Infinite definitely goes full on Noire in the latest 'Burial At Sea' DLC:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/214933

But I suppose Burial At Sea being full on Noire only highlights the fact that Bioshock wasn't full on before...

Maybe Eye: Divine Cybermancy at a push - its definitely dystopian and you are an investigating agent and its similar to Deus Ex in many ways...

heh, I guess Insecticide's worth a mention too:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/16710/?snr=1_7_15__13

Actually Privateer 2's cut scenes are suprisingly long coats and intrigue heavy too, come to think f it:

Fever_Discordia:
Cheers!
I'd say Fate By Numbers qualifies.

It's an FMV game made in a futuristic noir setting akin to Tex Murphy. Was made as a graduate project in like... 2007 if I'm remembering right. Fairly short, but it's a quality adventure game in an atmospheric setting.

Looks bloody good actually - and entirely fits the bill - cheers!
Definately a few to follow up tomorrow day for me :)
