s23021536: Yup, Gruntworks worked fine for me. Devastators ftw!
Do you know if there is anyway to decrease the resolution of Gruntworks Dune? The patches make it look good but my soldiers are so damn small I can barely see them. :P

Uhm I seem to recall something about a high res patch? Sorry man I just can't remember. Try http://d2kplus.com/hires.php I imagine that patch will allow you to select a resolution which is usually the case with these high res patches. I do remember that I watched a youtube tutorial and I think it might have been this one http://d2kplus.com/hires.php

Seeing as I played on my full hd 15'' laptop, I must have done something about the resolution. I usually go for 1600x900

edit: uhm it seems I didn't link the youtube vid sry :P Its a tad tricky on my cellphone. Just search for dune 2000 high res in youtube and you'll find it.

Yes, as s23021536 said, once you've installed the GruntMods edition you can then use the high resolution patch to change the resolution. Dropping the resolution to 1024x768 should make the display return to the original size giving you larger units so that you can see those infantry guys. :)

The high res patch is linked to from the GruntMods page, but here is the site it is on, anyway: http://www.d2kplus.com/

In fact, I think the latest version of GruntMods edition has an option to install the high res patch and set the resolution to 1024x768 anyway. The installer also appears to be a little bit smaller than the one I got some months back.

Yes it does include the patch. I was hoping to pull back a little from 1024x768 bit if I can't that's okay. I'll live. It's so cool I get to play again period so I'm happy.

Interesting, yet another reason to hate EA.
