It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

It'd be nice, though i'm not sure it's needed. Gamersgate, Steam, Greenhouse, Impulse etc.. all have a large number of indie games... plus there are several other sites that list them.
(for example the recent indie packs on steam, d2d, and the current Meridian4 sale on gamersgate)
I do rather like the GOG system, so if it happens i'd like it. though on the other hand i like the auto-updates and other features of steam. It'd be nice to be clear about DRM though.
Eg... i know when Braid went up on different sites it was really confusing working out what site had/didn't have what DRM.
(ps. steam doesn't require a broadband connection all the time).
That would be fantastic! They would have my money thats for sure :D
If you want a site for just indie games, go to Greenhouse Interactive's web store. That's all they sell.
yea but they rip you off... I'm talking Itunes style indie games, 1-3-5$ a piece...
I don't want to pay 20$ for an indie game that I can get for 10 on xbox LIVE.

I would not mind, we should certainly get a few here. One thing that has stopped me from buying more indie games than I would is that they often lack a centralised platform, and I can't stand to deal with many individual sites for a small number of games.
Saying that, I'd like more than a jazzed up version of a flash/casual-game from the indie side. Jeff Vogel/Spiderweb games will be the indie equivalent on getting EA's back-catalouge considering his opinion on cheap games.
Well, maybe GOG can put up some good old indie games...if such thing exists.

cioran: D2D isn't bad with DRM, depending on the game. I can't speak to their availability in other countries - I only plan on using the service in this one. I've always been very pleased with them. Just yesterday, I re-downloaded Deus Ex on my laptop - which I haven't played in nearly two years and no longer have a copy of (my desktop, which was ancient, had a hard drive failure). They still had the billing info on file, no problem, no hassle, no need to call customer service. Besides GOG, they're my favorite.
Steam, well, they're pretty terrible with DRM (I hate that internet DRM stuff) but they do have a wide selection of stuff and they do have what I'm looking for a lot. They're also great at stocking indie games.

I suppose it's hard to see the downside of D2D if you're American. But their regional exclusivity rules them out as a viable option for most.
Steam really needs to work on their offline mode. It would be a MUCH better platform if the offline mode was worth a damn.

Gamersgate and Impulse have pretty inconsistent DRM stances. Furthermore, Impulse seem to have lost most of the games I registered so they're not going to be seeing any more business from me, even if that is resolved. Greenhouse is flat out expensive, and judging by the prices on other sites, they're pocketing most of that. Steam is good for indie games as I well know, but only for those who have broadband.

Most (if not all) indie games are region-free to begin with. It's usually the big publishers who are still clinging to regional restrictions.

Yeah, we're talking proper games here. Even if they've evolved from Flash browser games like World of Goo did. Ideally the focus would be on the kinds of games that can stand up to commercial releases like Zeno Clash, Multiwinia, Braid, Trine and so on. Although there could be some of the better Flash games provided free, like the free games here.

Ideally, it should be through a separate site or at least a separate subdomain. But there are some great indie games from 2006 and before. And that seems to be where GOG draw the Old line.

I guess I've been unlucky with the games I've looked up on that site then. Oh well.
