Not particularly wolflike, but they are half husky, here's Spock and Kirk :)

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you, but if you just need the pics as reference and aren't going to reuse them directly as part of your work, why not grab something off Google or wherever?
would love to help out but my mini schnauzer isn't really all that scary, he looks more like a zz top impersonator because of his beard.
Head On

Once you get past the initial "the hell is this?" response, you might find a pile of solid reference wolves in here. It's 99 wolves flying into a pane of glass, by an artist named Cai Guo-Qiang.

Cant use them for reference without permission mate.

CharlesGrey:
Same problems as using them directly.

Damn! Even your dog hates you!

Cheers mate!

Heheh!
They might fit in actually - theres a pair of others and a nearby negative space, so them "minding the pups" might work nicely.
Cheers!

That's not my dog, it's my parent's dog, we just happen to live in the same house. Notice the bear in the background? Nice touch I thought. :D
Oh, I thought that was you in the background!

Here are a few shots of Fabi, Sophia, and Morticia: http://s805.photobucket.com/user/Melhelix/library/FabiSophiMorticia

Morticia is the Great Dane, Fabi and Sophi are Spinone Italianos; Fab's the brown one, Soph's the white one, Morticia is the black one.

Random dogness, ahoy! :D

Gotcha. Well, perhaps when you're less pressed for time, (and you're feeling patient) you could explain to me your ethics regarding references. I suspect you've considered the subject more deeply than I have!

edit: Best of luck with your work, of course.

This isn't my own dog (I don't have one, more of a cat person, though I actually don't have one of those either, yet), but my cousin's. Pictures are mine though, and I'd bet on my cousin being honoured rather than offended to have his dog's likeness used. His other dog doesn't need to be taken for walkies (it's allowed to run around free in the yard), so no images of that one (I have one, but it's only the head, and too blurry anyway).

Can't remember what breed it is (possibly a Gotlandsstövare/Gotland Hound), though I remember having been explained that the colouration pattern is wrong despite it being a pure-preed.
