Is there any particular reason why the ability to add a forum signature to the end of posts is not included here ? I only just noticed it (2 years after the fact -.-) and wondered why.

Not absolutely needed.

They put them here once shortly after I joined and what followed made the L.A. Riots look like kid's play.

Because it's completely superfluous and we're better off without.

They did add it for a little while but it must have been a mistake because they took it off like within a day.

Please, no... That feature was tested a year ago, but it was removed after a week because it was useless and the overall response was negative.

They introduced forum signatures as a test once, only for a day or two. The new feature was quite unpopular, so it was promptly removed and never returned.

This forum lacks some features, but signatures not among them.

It seems that most features like sig, the more you buy the higher the discount, etc were not popular among the community. Why get rid of it if 10 people don't like it. I think it should be optional... Unless you want to restrict people to certain size/length of sig, then it can be a mess indeed.

I always thought the signature here was just the line under your name. I am quite happy with that.

Nah, folks like you and tinyE may be light on relevant content at times, but you all are the soul of the forum. I'm thinking more about the opinionated bastards that witter on about nonsense. People like me, for example.

You could just make your own signature at the bottom of every post you make.
