Gothic Games, Painkiller, Aquanox 1 and 2, and more great games 60% off this weekend in our Nordic Nights Promo!

Nordic Nights. They're kind of like nights elsewhere, except for the fact that they don't end for a few months. And the cold. The biting cold that wants to inveigle itself in every crevice, slowly leaching out all heat. Nordic Nights scoff at Polar Vortexes. They hunt Polar Vortexes for their prized blubber and fur. No, wait. That's Polar bears. Our bad.

Regardless, we have great games from Nordic Games, who are going through their long Nordic Night right now, for you to enjoy. Check out our Nordic Nights weekend promo for a variety of top deals. The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief, The Gothic Series, Panzer Elite, Painkiller Black, Aquanox 1 and 2, and more fantastic games from one of our favorite developers of the far North are all available for 60% off!

If you're looking for something to do to keep yourself amused during your own long, cold winter nights, you'd be hard pressed to make a better choice than getting one of these games. Believe us, these guys know what it takes to chase away cabin feverI

Kabus: Any release plans from THQ catalog? Nordic has important part of them.

JohnnyDollar: That's what I'm wondering. There's some former THQ games there that Nordic now holds that would be nice additions to the GOG catalog. ;)

Thanks, that at least sounds encouraging. Maybe Q1 will be a nice one for GOG, we'll see. Although not a former THQ game, I noticed that Steam added Cold War recently. Maybe that'll come this way.

Hi guys and gals, I know it's a bit late but if you want to know something about The Nations I made a small summary here. Please note that I mentioned Alien Nations there as clearly inferior. Well, that's true but remember that the gameplay is different so I do see reasons to buy both of them. I would, however, say that Alien Nations is only for dedicated fans of slow-paced Settlers-like strategy games while I can recommend the sequel to everybody, it's a very good game indeed! If you have any questions feel free to ask.
I am an adventure game connoisseur, so I picked up:

The Book of Unwritten Tales + Critter Chronicles.
The Raven
Dark Fall 1 & 2
Jack Keane 2
Neighbors from Hell Compilation

I actually have Unwritten Tales on Steam. But to hell with Steam. Im going 100% GOG after I discovered a bug in my wireless adapter that made playing Steam impossible. I fixed the driver, but it made me realize the fragility of the steam platform.

I bought a physical version of Dark Fall 2 some years back and never got it to run on my machine. It will be nice to finally be able to play it.

Neighbors from Hell doesn't look like an adventure game, but it did look like a lot of fun and whereas Adventure games are tops in my book, simulations are second, so this will fit right into my collection. RPGs are third, so I might add some of those, but I am real particular on which ones I play. I will pass on the Gothics for now. Maybe I will revisit them later.
Cool ratings you got there, Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods. Is this really a game I should avoid buying? I mean, some of the people who gave it 5 stars here on GOG are spammers and they have lousy tastes.

Hail Keane.
@Nordic Games

From the Classic Gem Promo:
snip

Be advised, that once the promo ends, the prices of both games will be permanently reduced by 40%, so each of them will be available in GOG.com catalog for $5.99.
Permanent price reduction - imho, not a bad idea for Jack Keane 2 and its sales.

Sorry but I had to say it ;-p
Ahahaha. Forgot to buy Gothic 2, looked at the clock and went, nooo! Raced to GOG, threw it in a cart, checked out and finished with 22 seconds left to spare. :D Good times.
