Telika: Excuse me, has Cracker ever been mentionned ?

As far as I'm concerned, it kinda dwarves all the other crime series put together...
Well, cannot fully agree about dwarfing, lest it be the girth width... :-p But this is a matter of preference anyway, and Cracker is fine enough a series, I too think.

But your post brought to mind: Prime Suspect.

I like the grittiness of this series, Helen Mirren (IMO) is a pretty divine actress, as such - and cannot help but like the earnest show of the opposition she faces for having principles (as Morse), and being a woman (an additional negative premium in her case).

But, I do think there was a charitable sketch bringing Helen and Robbie together, "Prime Cracker"... Shall this not be the best possible world, perhaps? :-D

Cormoran: I've always been fond of Keeping Up Appearances.

The Young Ones is one I haven't watched in a while but have fond memories of.
Yes to both!!
Miranda is simple, silly humour with a small cast.

People rave about the Office with Ricky Gervais. Problem is that he's so good at the role that it can be cringy.

Shooting stars is an acquired taste but funny if you like "out there" humour.

Gavin and Stacy. Boy from Essex, England meets Girl from Barry Island (Wales). Very strong, likeable and funny characters.

RaggieRags: I just finished Red Dwarf X and it totally renewed my love for this series. Definitely recommended!
I'm feel the same.

6 was good
7 was the worst of all the series
8 was an improvement
9 was a one off - it's best to pretend it never existed
10 Brilliant. Lemons and Entangled being my favourites

I swear that I've sat and listened to all of the British version of The Office but only actually SEEN half of it because I couldn't look at the screen for cringing! But that's sort of the point and the genius of it

The Peep Show can get a bit like that too - also THE PEEP SHOW! It's awesome!
(their sketch show - 'That Mitchell and Webb Look' could be a bit hit and miss but the hits were worth watching it for)
