Would somebody be so kind to help me get past this boss too? I've seen some folks willing to help get through this monster . I've tried at least 50 times and just can't do it even after watching Youtube videos and reading numerous strategies. I don't want to have to give up on this outstanding game, so any help would be greatly appreciated. It's the Enhanced Edition. Thanks again for anybody willing to take this guy out so I can continue the game!

This has been resolved at the official forums, so there's no need for anyone to go through the trouble anymore.

practical considerations:
1: stay off to one side of the kayran - do not go in front of it unless you are switching sides, because it'll barf on you and you don't want that
2: do not switch sides until you've killed the two vulnerable tentacles on whatever side you're on
3: to stay away from its barf, it's safest if you work from the outside towards the middle
4: don't get hit by a tentacle; it hurts

method:
1: drop a yrden
2: wait for a tentacle strike...
3: ...which you should dodge when it comes - to the side, obviously.
4: if yrden traps the tentacle, run forward and chop at the tumor-looking thing on the tentacle until you sever it
5: repeat as necessary until you get to the QTE
6: after the QTE, *QUICKLY* run up that stone wall that fell on top of the kayran
7: watch as Geralt C4s the kayran

You'll never beat the Operator and take his Staff of LAPD Beatdown +5 if you can't beat the kayran. Practice.
