Im having the weirdest thing with this update, no matter which setting I lower the game would always stay on 8FPS or less (menus or gameplay) :s

I was able to run the game on ultra settings before, but now its completely busted, does anybody else have this issue?
I also checked with MSI Afterburner and with cpu-z (and other programs), and all seem to be fine, other games are working just fine so so this is quite a pickle :P
Ive already redownload the game from Steam and nothing seems to help!

I do have the latest drivers fyi.

Same problem, but the cutscenes slow to a crawl. It ran great prior to the patch.
Wow the EE version performs like half worse than the actual one a year ago.

I used to get 55 fps at 1280x720 on mostly high settings now its at 31 fps

Something went wrong somewhere
The depth of field effect is now really exaggerated in alot of scenes that use this effect, both cutscenes and fistfighting parts. And this is where the frame rate really drops.

In one shot in particular, the whole screen is blurred, both the actor in front and everything at the distance.

I'm using an Nvidia card. GTX 560ti. The CPU is an i5 2500k clocked at 3.3ghz.

It ran pretty well before at all times at ultra minus Ubersampling. Between 35-60. Below 30 in certain crowded sequences.
Now it's all over the place, especially when DOF is involved. I still think there is something wrong about the DOF this time around.

i can confirm its cinematic dof causing the massive slowdowns, i disabled cinematic dof and now all cutscenes run at nearly 60fps. either gpu drivers aren't compatiable with the EE or cdpr screwed up something with the cinematic dof in the EE causing the perfomance issues not found in vanilla witcher 2

As I said, its not a performance issue, I get 8 fps and below at all times, even in menus.
Same for me, I have a EVGA Overclocked GTX 570, and actually use to run the game fine on Stock ultra settings (minus Ubersampling of course) and it ran perfectly.

Now since this patch I've had actually tweak the settings to get it running decently. I have no idea what this patch did, but it is running worse then before.

For comparison Im using the latest beta drivers and had to turn off AA and use nvidia's FXAA to get good framerates.

Ive finally solved it! All I needed to do is delete the Steam version and download the GOG version, the Steam version of this game is so busted :P
I had a similar problem, when I first installed the gog copy of the game and patched it all up even on the lowest of the low settings the game was running at 5 fps. After tinkering with various settings for over an hour I rebooted the computer which fixed the problem. Went from 5fps to 45
