Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War

Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War (2004)

by Project Aces, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Namco, Sony Computer Entertainment
Genres:Simulator
Themes:Action, Warfare
Game modes:Single player
Story:Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War is a first person air combat and flight simulator. Like other Ace Combat games, each mission is determined by a level briefing and objectives. There are 32 missions in the main campaign mode, while an additional "arcade" mode puts the player in the role of Mobius One (from Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies) as he faces endless waves of enemy attacks. Regardless of the mode chosen, once in the air the player will have control over speed, direction, altitude, gun cannon, missiles and special weapon of their aircraft. A new feature from previous Ace Combat games, is the concept of Wingmen and being able to issue simple orders to them in the air. This allows the player to better coordinated group attacks as well as giving each wingman a personality of their own. Additionally, the player as squadron leader will be asked to make decisions ("Yes/No") while flying in the air. Between missions, the story is progressed through a series of cutscenes.Show more

A massive hit for the Playstation 2. Recently a free add-on for people who bought Ace Combat 7 for the Playstation 4. Would be amazing with a proper remaster although it still holds up well in it's current form. Ace Combat 7 is a direct sequel to this game, with returning characters from V showing up as supporting characters. Would love to mod the heck out of this. Macross-style unlimited, no-reload missile massacre please. PLEASE!
When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself. First, as a dark demon. As a demon, it uses its power to rain death upon the land, and then it dies. However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns. This time, as a great hero.

Favorite game of the entire series and it needs to be preserved on GOG. I think a collection akin to the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection with this game, four, and zero would be amazing.
I remember when I first played it. I thought it's just shooting down enemy planes, but I was so wrong... Ace Combat 5 is not just about playing war, it tells a story how even Aces are still human beings, fighting to end a war. For PS2 the graphics were stunning, the story was awesome and as always the music too! I'd really love to play that game once again...
Prior to getting Skyrim, this was probably the game I put the most hours into playing. Only stopped because the PS2 wore out, actually. Being able to play it again would be great, as while Ace Combat 7 has been fun, I miss being able to do things like break missions with a giant laser beam.

Playboy: The Mansion
Playboy: The MansionPlay as Hugh Hefner and build the Playboy publishing empire while throwing parties, hanging out with celebrities, and, of course, inviting beautiful models into your mansion. Playboy: The Mansion is a social strategy game that calls on players to build a virtual empire of wealth, celebrity, and freedom from puritanical repression and intolerance. This is accomplished by developing a fully functioning Playboy mansion, to attract and accommodate influential celebrities and beautiful young models who are willing to strike the right poses. Players who can build a suitably entertaining and well-equipped mansion, while adhering to "the Playboy philosophy," are rewarded with "the Playboy lifestyle," surrounded by powerful trendsetters, influential pop idols, and sexually liberated young women. In short, the game invites players to take the role of a virtual Hugh Hefner. As Hef, players will be responsible for keeping the Playboy brand relevant to its ever-evolving audience. One good way to do this is by attracting celebrity friends to the mansion, and making sure they have a good time when they visit. With enough money, players can build new facilities -- like swimming pools, movie theaters, or tennis courts -- which may have special appeal to particular celebrities. It's also a good idea to introduce these V.I.P. guests to Playmates who share their interests. The game's main interface should be familiar to Sims 2 players; characters are directed through their 3D domestic environments with mouse clicks, and clicked objects offer pop-up menus of available interactions. Coaxing powerful celebrity friends to appear in an issue of Playboy magazine can boost circulation, bringing in more income for future developments. As Hef, players can determine the content of each issue, choosing the articles, essays, cover shots, and centerfolds. They'll also have an opportunity to direct the photo shoots, choosing the location on the mansion grounds, the model, and the wardrobe selection -- all of which feature a "topless" option. The game includes a structured campaign that follows Hefner's real-life rise to international celebrity through a series of individual scenarios that focus on building the fame, circulation, and clout it took to develop the Playboy brand into what it is today. Players design their own challenges in the "Empire" mode, where they can set their own goals and victory conditions.

Strip Pot
Strip PotAn erotic variant of the classic "fruit machine" game. Instead of playing for money, winners are treated to full motion video clips of "five of Europe's most beautiful girls" (as stated on the back of the game's box) disrobing for the camera. Steel Panthers II: Modern Battles
Steel Panthers II: Modern BattlesSteel Panthers 2 - Modern Battles is the sequel to original Steel Panthers. This game however covers the battles of the latter half of the 20th century. You can experience the Korean War in the early 1950s, Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf in the early 1990s, and also several hypothetical late-1990s scenarios. The major improvements in the strategy over the Steel Panthers are the missile-armed units, refined mobility, and the ability of a unit to look in almost any direction instead of straight at a hex side, movable artillery, and helicopters.

Sid Meier's Railroad Tycoon Deluxe
Sid Meier's Railroad Tycoon DeluxeRailroad Tycoon is a game about the fascinating world of railroads: steel tracks stretching to the horizon, promising adventure and romance; steam, diesel, and electric locomotives, some of the largest machines man has ever built; nations transformed by the speed and strength that locomotives could achieve, eclipsing the puny power of man himself and the animals he could domesticate; the sounds of steam whistles, diesel horns, and clanging bells; a world of risk - natural disasters, poor economic times, and rival railroads; and a world of opportunity - money, prestige, and fame. Railroad Tycoon is maybe the most famous Tycoon game. Your goal is to build a railroad empire. You have to build your railroad, improve stations, manage your bank accounts and investments. You have to get the others from business or buy their miserable companies as cheap as possible. Show them who is the real and only one Railroad Tycoon.
