Story:Albert Odyssey: Legend of Eldean is a role-playing video game developed by Sunsoft for the Super Nintendo, but cancelled and ported to the Sega Saturn. It is the first Albert Odyssey title to be released in English, as well as the first to feature traditional turn-based role-playing elements as opposed to tactical, strategy-based gameplay. Legend of Eldean was created as a "gaiden", or sidestory to the original titles, and contains back story, characters, and plot that are independent from earlier games in the series. The North American version received generally favorable reviews, with the game's translation invoking mixed criticism both for its overly-humorous tone and departure from the original Japanese dialogue.Show more

This game and many others by Working Designs were part of the blessing I had to play in my younger days. The rpg genre has built my imagination and helped me escape the harsh life I had as a child. It allowed me to go into these worlds and set mine aside. The stories of worlds in peril and plunged into darkness and becoming the hero that is set into the adventure to save the world from these atrocities allowed me to become who I am today. I do not know who I would have become without these games growing up. I did not allow myself to turn into the beast or the bad guy but inside I am the hero and act with kindness and a helping hand everywhere I go. I also know how to read really well. xD
This was the game that convinced me to buy a Saturn before a PlayStation. I was working my first job, at Toys R Us, and the Saturn had recently come down in price. On my lunch break, I was flipping through a games magazine that had been removed from the shelves as too old. I saw a full page ad for this game. I tore the ad out and waited. I bought my Saturn that weekend and when this game finally released, I anxiously watched the tickets (you took a ticket to a counter after you paid to get games, they were locked up), hoping no one snagged it since my store got only one copy. I bought it as soon as I clocked out for the day and, at first, no one in the back could find it. It got mis-shelved but eventually, we found it and I was so happy. I'd not played an RPG since Final Fantasy 3 (Yes, it was '6' but the SNES cart said 3, we didn't know that yet.) and Chrono Trigger and this one made me so happy. I miss this game (Saturn is in storage) and would love to be able to play it again on modern hardware.
The Last StoryThe Last Story takes place upon the island fortress of Lazulis, in a world that is slowly being drained of life by an unknown force. The story focuses on a group of mercenaries looking for work on Lazulis; one of their number, Zael, dreams of becoming a knight. During gameplay, the player controls Zael as he and the mercenary group to which he belongs undertake missions on Lazulis. Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions.
