There's no game quite like it, before or after. It is a game of deception that doesn't require friends (but benefits from them anyway). It is a game of making skill look like random chance. It is a game of quick wit, teamwork, and the highest-stakes whiffs aplenty. It is a game of deep lore, memorable characters, and utter undying love from the devs and the players alike. It is the simultaneous turn-based, team deathmatch battle arena that we all know and love, in equal measure for the deep skill expression and the solid nonsense. For anyone that might get to play this for the first time... "Prepare to be impressed".

This game came and went too soon. There is no other game like it. It is still one of my fave games of all time and I am super sad it is gone. Bring Atlas Reactor back!
Atlas Reactor was my most favourite Game ever. I even did a DIY Board Game Version out of Love for it. I managed to play myself to the Top 10 Players and still think about this Game almost 10 years later. Such a good Concept with nothing coming close to it.

I played Atlas Reactor habitually with some close friends from its early days in late 2016 (Blackburn had just come out) and stayed in touch with it, playing the odd match or two every week, until its shutdown in June 2018. All in all I spent around 700 hours playing it. I was there as the servers went down and said my goodbyes, but I've never left the game truly behind. Atlas Reactor is -- or was -- so uniquely fun in its concept and gameplay. Sure, colourful online hero arenas are a dime a dozen, and Atlas Reactor was never mold-breaking in character designs or graphics, but the gameplay of turn-based gameplay where moves are inserted in advance and then acted out in distinct phases made it something that hasn't been replicated successfully since. It was like online Frozen Synapse -- or Diplomacy, for the board game fans -- making bluffing and predicting ability valuable assets, as well as being to coordinate your team's moves two or three turns in advance, to have a gameplan and see it fall apart upon contact with the enemy. I've played with strategic geniuses, I've had my games ruined in the best possible ways by utter lunatics, and I've had multiple cherished memories of good plays that do not require my old and decrepit body to maintain an acceptable APM. There has been nothing truly like it since. I have no idea if bringing this game back is even possible, but on the off chance it is... I would very much like to see it tried.

Atlas Reactor is one of a kind game. Turn based MOBA with simultaneous turns was an otherwordly idea. This is one of the best TB games of all time, to be honest.

No game have gotten anywhere close to be as satisfying with landing your shots, as this have. A feature of this game was that you could give your skills some extra flare by making it start out with quick cutscene of your freelancer (hero) doing a cool little trick/pose while saying a line, making you look extra awesome 'IF' you predicted where the enemy went. Otherwise you'd look like an idiot. This feature didnt do much else but to give your game a little bit of flavor and/or personality, but it was such a fun thing that you could do, and i've been missing this kind of feature for any other game ever since it went offline.

I played this games thousands of hours trying to perfect every turn. My mates and I played this game skipping out on sleep just to improve and push us ever so slightly further. No game ever made me think so much and had such highs and lows at the same time.
It was one of the most daring ideas that actually worked! Turn based MOBA, with simultaneous turs. Heroes had their special abilities, like in other hero based pvp games. There were 3 types - before taking turn, action, and at the end of the turn. Unfotunately, when Trion was bought, the game was shut. It wasn't popular, mostly because poor marketing... I would give so much to play it again... I even got scammed by GAMIGO with Atlas Rogues... They took the money from players and didn't deliver, closing the project... And now the game is in limbo, cause of being in hands of scammers... :(

One of the only free to play style games I actually spent money in. There really has been nothing like it. Amazing gameplay, cool art, just fun. The turn based system was so great for those of us without reflexes!

Perfect balance between fast paced decision making and not requiring incredible twitch reflexes and fine motor control. It was a game I could always play and never tire of. Matches didn't take forever like many online games so just playing a match or two wasn't a commitment. The only downside was it never got popular enough to have the player base it needed to sustain itself (and make queue times shorter). Would love this to make a comeback and catch on for real. Seriously a gem of a game and a terrible shame it never found its audience.

Dune 2000
Dune 2000Real-time strategy taking place in Frank Herbert's "Dune" universe. The game is a remake of a classic RTS game "Dune 2". Player can play as a commander of one of three different factions: Harkonnen, Atreides or Ordos. Do you like the feeling you get when you have won over someone? If it was something that we had really worked hard, then the fell of victory is something precious and incalculable. The game Dune 2000 could help in giving your competitive spirit a new edge. It is an updated version of the Dune II. In this game the player would have to fight for an interesting thing; the control of the spices in the galaxy. The spices control could make you the most powerful there. The player has to choose to be one of the three houses first: Atreides, Harkonnen, or Ordos. Each house has its own vice and virtue and the right selection could give the player right start to the game but he could learn as well as, later in the game with time. Once you choose a side, you to win the King’s challenge of producing the most amount of spice. It won’t be as easy as it sounds. For getting the control of the spices, the player has to fight over the other two houses by all means. Dune 2000 is done with enough of stunt and live-in scenes to pep up the theme and there is a soothing sound score to add to the overall theme. It’s a game based on the Dune series book of Frank Herbert and gives the player a real pleasure of both combat and competition.

Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty
Dune II: The Building of a DynastyDune II is often considered the first mainstream modern real-time strategy game and established many conventions of the genre. Even though set in Frank Herbert's famous Dune universe, the game is only loosely connected to the plot of any of the books or the films based from them. Controlling either of the three Houses, the player must fight a number of battles against the other Houses. In the early levels, the goal is simply to earn a certain number of credits, while in the later missions, all enemies must be destroyed. The single resource in the game is the Spice, which must be collected by harvesters. The spice is converted to credits in a refinery, which are then spent to construct additional buildings and units. There are two terrain types: buildings can only be constructed on stone, while the Spice is only found on sand. However, units moving on sand attract the large sandworms of Dune, who are virtually indestructible and can swallow even large units whole. As levels progress, new and more advanced buildings and units are made available, including structures like a radar station, a repair facility or defense turrets and, for units, various ground troops, light vehicles and tanks. Each House can construct one unique special unit, and, after building a palace improvement, can unleash a unique palace effect.
