Story:Two young and lovely bounty huntresses, Ryeza and Anita, live in a village that is continuously attacked by monsters. One day, solving a little monster problem in the nearby forest, they encounter a mysterious masked man, who tells Ryeza she wields the power of the sacred jewel Basted. Soon the two girls join forces with a princess in exile, and work together to restore the throne to its rightful owners, persecuted by the ruthless Empire and its allies.
Though Basted may look like an RPG at first sight (medieval setting, top-down world, game progression that alternates between towns and dungeons, etc.), it is in fact primarily an action game. Controlling Ryeza and Anita, the player explores the surroundings, talks to people and participates in battles to advance the story. There are no levels, items, equipment, money system, or other required RPG elements.
Most battles occur as dictated by the plot, though some are optional. The battles take place on a separate screen. For most battles, the player is able to choose either Ryeza or Anita. Ryeza can jump, and Anita has a long-ranged fire attack. Regular attacks can be powered-up if executed when the attack power meter is at maximum. Both girls can also charge power to execute devastating special attacks (two unique attacks per girl). They are also able to dash and attack while dashing, inflicting more damage.

Eldorado Gate Volume 6El Dorado Gate is console gaming's first serial RPG series, where each Dreamcast GD-ROM contains 3 seperate (though interrelated) adventures, each telling a story of one of the series' 12 characters. There's 7 volumes in all, the first few introducing the characters whilst the later volumes flesh out how their stories are related, leading to the finale.

Lennus II: Fuuin no ShitoThe second game in the Lennus / Paladin's Quest series. The games development was very troubled and took four years instead of the planned two. Upon release it sold very poorly, even after being promoted through Nintendo Power. This caused the plans for Lennus III to be shelved.
The magic system have been expanded to eight spirits representing the elements Fire, Light, Wind, Gold, Earth, Sky, Water and Void. Which can be combined or used separately for a total of 36 spells. Instead of building up a spirit skill rating by using the spells relating to the spirit, in Lennus II you power up the spirits by defeating monsters and earning spirit-specific experience points in addition to the normal experience points.

Oni Zero: FukkatsuLong ago, during the Heian period, there was a village where humans and ghosts coexisted peacefully. Oni Zero: Fukkatsu is traditional Japaneses turn-based RPG, and the last title in the series produced by series creators Pandora Box. The game follows the same formula laid out by Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. Characters carry different elemental alignments, which affects their combat capabilities. As their abilities grow, the characters can learn special transformation attacks, and find many different spirits to aid their quest.
The game also features connectivity with other games in the Pandora Max Series. Extra unlockables are available for those who own other titles in the series.

The player leads a party of four characters (either the default party or one that the player has created). Characters and races can be chosen from the normal D&D options. The gameworld is viewed from an isometric perspective and the characters can roam around in realtime. Battles are turn based.
