The pre-cursor to the Total War series. I played this gem on DOS. I remember having to use a map to get through DRM of that era. This has everything. Battles on land and sea. Integrating other troops from the different countries. It even had a series of minigames such as fighting animals, racing chariots, and some others. I would love to play this again because my 8 year old self couldn't figure out the naval combat. I need to remedy that failure of mine and add the UK to my complete empire.

It was a game with fantastic historical tactical depth within simple gameplay. I played countless hours, and it made me fall in love with the Total War series when I discovered it years later. It was one of the games that defined me as a gamer, and playing it again would be a dream come true.
