Story:Dr. Drago's Madcap Chase is a strategy game for up to eight players with similarities to board games like Monopoly. The players join a rally through Europe and North Africa which consists of several stages. At the beginning of each stage a TV moderator names the capital of a country. The one who gets there first will win a lot of money. At first there are only Western European countries available but eventually the Berlin Wall falls and you can enter the former Eastern bloc.Show more

I got this game on a magazine called "Fun Online" back in the days.
It's a nice little boardgame like game and very fun in hotseat multiplayer.
It's not available anymore today, so it needs a rerelease on gog.com
This should also include the German version which was called 'Die total verrückte Rallye'.
I know it better under the german name "Die total verrückte Rallye" and loved it. Played it many times together with a friend or my sister in my teenager years. Many Afternoons after School. I missed today similar Boardgame Like Games for PC.
I woul'd love to play it again with my friends, which don't know the game.
This was the very first PC CD-ROM game my brother and I owned with our first Windows 95 PC. We had a great time playing on this and found it addictive. It really needs a re-release as it's very difficult to track down now. The only way of getting it to work on modern PCs is via DOSBox or through a virtual PC.
Such a great boardgame not found anything else quite like it and would be great to play again. Race around countries use cards to your advantage and try not get get drago on your tail.

Dune II: The Building of a DynastyDune II is often considered the first mainstream modern real-time strategy game and established many conventions of the genre. Even though set in Frank Herbert's famous Dune universe, the game is only loosely connected to the plot of any of the books or the films based from them. Controlling either of the three Houses, the player must fight a number of battles against the other Houses. In the early levels, the goal is simply to earn a certain number of credits, while in the later missions, all enemies must be destroyed.
The single resource in the game is the Spice, which must be collected by harvesters. The spice is converted to credits in a refinery, which are then spent to construct additional buildings and units. There are two terrain types: buildings can only be constructed on stone, while the Spice is only found on sand. However, units moving on sand attract the large sandworms of Dune, who are virtually indestructible and can swallow even large units whole. As levels progress, new and more advanced buildings and units are made available, including structures like a radar station, a repair facility or defense turrets and, for units, various ground troops, light vehicles and tanks. Each House can construct one unique special unit, and, after building a palace improvement, can unleash a unique palace effect.Science fiction
