Genewars

Genewars (1996)

by Bullfrog Productions, Electronic Arts
Genres:Strategy, Real Time Strategy (RTS)
Themes:Action, Comedy, Science fiction
Game modes:Single player
Story:Once the inhabitants of Planet Earth finally got it together enough space travel-wise to explore outside the solar system, they discovered that there were three other races doing exactly the same: the sneaky, reptilian Saurians, the understandably uptight, nasally gifted Schnozzoids, and the curiously laid-back Bohemians. Each of these races being just as self-important, aggressive (except for the Bohemians) and intolerant as the Earthlings, it wasn't long before an intergalactic pagga of quite exceptional proportions kicked off. Advanced technologies previously used in the fast-food, mail-order gizmo and executive leisure industries were swiftly adapted into weaponry of astoundingly destructive properties, and the suzerainty of many hundred previously quiet, green planets was disputed in a most antisocial manner.Show more

A cherished childhood strategy game where you mixed creatures, explored alien planets, and battled rivals in real-time. Details are hazy, but the fun is crystal clear.

Only ever played the demo from a PC Games cd but would find myself returning to it alot. At the time was not easy to obtain new titles and would've had this one in my library. Need more power to see this one I think, so I'll keep building those photon processors until then.
Those games also need your vote!

SD Gundam World: Gachapon Senshi - Scramble Wars
SD Gundam World: Gachapon Senshi - Scramble WarsTwo teams, the blue army and the red army, compete on tiled maps in an attempt to vanquish one another in battle. Each team starts off in one particular portion of the map, usually but not always on opposite sides. Throughout the map are cities which start out neutral, but can be converted to the red or blue side through occupation. The more cities a team has, the more energy that team produces every round to direct toward the construction of newer and more powerful Gundams. Each team gets to issue three commands per turn, whether it be to move a Gundam around the map, or construct a new Gundam. Each type of robot has different ranges of movement, and different terrains effect how far a robot can travel. In order to destroy each other, players must attack the opposing team's Gundams by moving one of their own to a tile occupied by the enemy. When two Gundams rest on the same spot, a battle is initiated.

SD Gundam World: Gachapon Senshi 2 - Capsule Senki
SD Gundam World: Gachapon Senshi 2 - Capsule SenkiThe second game in the Famicom series of turn-based strategy games based on the SD Gundam universe. SD Gundam: Gachapon Senshi 2 - Capsule Senki is the second of five SD Gundam World games for the Famicom, published by Bandai using the Gundam license from Sunrise Studios. As with its predecessor, Scramble Wars, the game is a tactical turn-based war simulation in which each side uses their Gundam mechas to defeat the other and are occasionally aided by a "gachapon" - or capsule machine - that dispenses additional Gundams in a manner similar to their toy counterparts. The game was the first of the series to be released on a Famicom cart, as Scramble Wars was a Famicom Disk System-only game. Capsule Senki was also rereleased on the Japanese Wii Shop's Virtual Console.
