I can't recall exactly what year it was that I first saw the movie "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids", but the appeal and childlike wonder that it evokes are clear...What if the familiar world around you suddenly became so much more than it seems in your everyday life? What if a drop of dew on the grass was enough to sustain you all day? What if a simple ant or ladybug suddenly became a fearsome adversary or a dear friend? What if a twig or blade of grass could be used to construct architectural marvels? Well, if you ever wondered these things, this is the moment to pounce and discover most of them for yourself. You will never look at common garden pests in quite the same way again! Of course, the reasons for wanting it available on GOG are obvious. This is truly a great multiplayer survival game that deserves to be free of its shackles so that it can be remembered for many years to come, even if Microsoft decides to take it offline.

Beneath Apple ManorVery early dungeon-crawler, it is the first known roguelike pre-dating Rogue itself though no link between the two games exists.

CircusCircus was one of the first games produced by Exidy that used a CPU (6502) to control the game logic instead of hand-crafted hard-coded logic circuits. It ran on a black & white monitor with a color overlay that gave each row of balloons at the top of the screen a different color. It was designed and programmed by Edward Valeau and Howell Ivey of Exidy in 1977. Circus came in an upright dedicated cabinet, and may have also been available in a cocktail configuration as well. Circus machines had white sides with red painted sideart of several balloons in flight. The front of the machine was decorated with a large ornate monitor bezel that also doubled as a marquee (or nameplate). This bezel showed several clowns in a circus scene and had the game title spelled out with multicolored balloons. The control panel was unadorned, save for an analog spinner and a start button. The whole machine was finished off in black T-molding. At least 13,000 units, possibly as many as 20,000, were produced.

Colossal Cave Adventure

Colossal Cave AdventureColossal Cave Adventure is a text adventure game, developed originally in 1976, by Will Crowther for the PDP-10 mainframe. The game was expanded upon in 1977, with help from Don Woods, and other programmers created variations on the game and ports to other systems in the following years. In the game, the player controls a character through simple text commands to explore a cave rumored to be filled with wealth. Players earn predetermined points for acquiring treasure and escaping the cave alive, with the goal to earn the maximum amount of points offered. The concept bore out from Crowther's background as a caving enthusiast, with the game's cave structured loosely around the Mammoth Cave system in Kentucky.

Parasite Eve II

Parasite Eve IIParasite Eve II is an action role-playing survival horror video game released exclusively for the PlayStation. The game was developed by Square and published in Japan in 1999 and in both North America and, unlike the previous game, in PAL regions in 2000. It is the sequel to Parasite Eve and the second game in the series of the same name. Parasite Eve II is set several years after the events in the original game. The protagonist from the first game, Aya Brea, also features in this game as the playable character. She becomes involved with another outbreak of Mitochondrial creatures. Gameplay diverges from the previous game: battles take place in real time and the area of action is less restrictive. The approach is more typical of traditional survival horror games, although some role-playing elements are retained.
