Found this in a bargain bin in a Co-Op supermarket clearance, England 1999. This game started what would become a life long love-affair with Mecha, and spoiled me to expect "real" well thought out robots ever more, sadly slightly poisoning me against Gundam forevermore.
If it's done something Similar to you I implore you to check out "VOTOMs", apparently that show inspired the Canadian devs of this game.
The SIM nature of this first game was always preferable to me over the action nature of the second, but both are wonderful.
Despite STILL owning this game physically, it is incredibly difficult to get running properly on modern hardware and has some nasty game crash bugs in the campaign even on original hardware (so I never got to COMPLETE the campaign, instead putting hundreds of hours into the "freeplay" mode playing as the "badguys") Therefore a restoration of it from the GOG team would certainly make my decade!! I'd love to attempt the PVP online mode, which was incredible difficult to set up back on dial-up.
