Absolutely adore this game. What it does different is that all your units are both your builders/army and your Heroes. This is done by allowing any unit to get Experience when they defeat enemies (who lands the killing blow) and gives you a choice - make a balanced army or funnel all the experience into one unit who will then be carrying the entire map for you (with the risk of losing it and basically having to start over). Works better for factions who have mage casters of course. Factions in the game are separated into tribes who have a special unit unique to them, however broadly speaking there are 3 main specializations - crafting tribes, who can make an armory and equip your humans with tools, dinosaur tribes, who can train dinosaurs specific to the faction, or finally the magical tribes, who can make units with corresponding spell casting abilities.
Have my copy but cannot make it work for the life of me. Would love to play it once again and for others to experience this peculiar game for themselves!
