With Sony finally backing away from their PSN requirement for their singleplayer PC games, I think Sony should take an extra step forward by allowing the use of ANY online service completely optional. I think this sentiment is also applicable to the recently released God of War: Ragnarok PC port.

What makes Spider-Man 2 so legendary is the emotional storytelling. Peter Parker and Miles Morales both get equal spotlight, with their narratives seamlessly intertwined. The inclusion of Venom and the Symbiote suit storyline adds weight and darkness, while also enhancing gameplay with new powers and mechanics. The emotional stakes are high, and the character development is deep and mature—rare for any superhero game.
Then there’s the gameplay: swinging through a larger, more detailed New York (including Queens and Brooklyn), the freedom and speed are unmatched. Combat is slick, responsive, and varied, with the addition of Symbiote powers and Miles’ bio-electricity adding more depth.
Visually, the game is stunning. The city feels alive, the weather and lighting effects are incredible, and the attention to detail in character design is movie-level quality.
Putting Spider-Man 2 on GOG would ensure it’s not trapped behind DRM or console exclusivity forever. It’s a superhero masterpiece—one that deserves to be preserved, replayed, and appreciated for generations.

Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival.
Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed.
The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo.
As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity.
Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. Shining Force Gaiden: Ensei - Jashin no Kuni heShining Force Gaiden is a turn-based tactical RPG. Battles take place in square grids, and each unit occupies 1 square. Units can belong to one of two sides: allies (controlled by the player) or enemies (controlled by the computer AI). Each unit can move up to a fixed amount of squares along the battlefield, determined by its Move statistic. Depending on its location relative to enemies and to allies, a unit also has the option to attack, cast a spell, use an item, search (if adjacent to a treasure chest), or stay and do nothing, all of which end the unit's turn.
Some commands, such as equipping or dropping items, don't count as actions, and the character's turn is able to continue. The order of the turns is determined by the unit's agility score and a random seed. Units can use offensive actions, such as physical attacks or offensive magic, only on units belonging to the other side and can use supportive actions, such as healing magic, stat-enhancing magic, and items, only on units belonging to the same side.
This game (together with Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya) was later given a remake named Shining Force CD, released on the Sega CD. This remake also saw a western release to both North America and Europe and the full english title was "Shining Force Gaiden: Towards the Root of Evil".
