Genres:Adventure, Platform, Real Time Strategy (RTS)
Themes:Historical, 4X (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate)
Game modes:Single player
Story:The collapse of Robert Maxwell's Mirrorsoft empire in late 1991 had disasterous effects on the UK computer games market, as the Mirrorsoft and Imageworks labels published some great games not long beforehand. UbiSoft stepped in to buy the rights to these two, and issued them as a great-value double pack. Mega Lo Mania was an original strategy game with an evolutionary theme and distinct humour, as you battled with 3 other would-be Gods for control of 27 territories before facing the final Mother of All Battles. First Samurai was an arcade adventure set in medieval Japan, with your character aiming to avenge the killing of his master.Show more

The music at the start of the game brings chills every time i hear it. The gameplay with its time slow or speed up mechanics mAkes it really challenging. The evolution of your structures is pleasing and hearing the iconic 'they've nuked us' is still a blast. Such unusual gameplay must be preserved. As for the samurai, graphics, music and playability makes it a worthy candidate for a vote.

Mega-lo-mania was one of the first games I played using the mouse on the MS-DOS! It is the oldest tower defense ever, as far as I remember! I spent hours and hours developing my civilization and attacking others! The best part was the huge difference it made developing your people's tech: sometimes you would attack an enemy with airplanes, when all they had to defend themselves were bows and arrows!
Those games also need your vote!

Elevator Action
Elevator ActionElevator Action is a 1983 arcade game by Taito. It debuted during the "Golden Age of Arcade Games". Innovative in gameplay, the game was very popular for many years. In the game, the player assumes the role of a spy who infiltrates a building filled with elevators. He must collect secret documents from the building and traverse the 30 floors of the building using an increasingly complex series of elevators. The player is pursued by enemy agents who appear from behind closed doors. These agents must be dealt with via force or evasion. Successful completion of a level involves collecting all the secret documents and traversing the building from top to bottom. In the lower floors of the building, the elevator systems are so complex that some puzzle-solving skills are needed. The game was available as a standard upright cabinet The controls consist of a 4-way joystick and two buttons, one for "shoot" and the other for jumping and kicking. The maximum number of players is two, alternating turns. The graphics are extremely simple, 2D color graphics and in-game music was composed by musician Yoshio Imamura. The game was followed by a sequel, Elevator Action II (also known as Elevator Action Returns).
