Absolutely loved this game on the Amiga as well as the sequel Duteros, both great, amazing strategy games, loved them as they got me into space exploration games.

Loved loved loved this game, so many 100s of hours spent on my old ST. The game is burnt into my memory. Would so love to see games like these go into the preservation program!

This was my first venture into strategy games that weren't text based. The back story along with base management, harvesting and a very basic 3D flight sim when defending your base was so unique and exciting, and I have searched high and low for a modern game that has these elements. Such fond memories of this, playing it on my Atari STFM for days on end.
While many space strategy games focus on the space and resource management, Millenium: Return to Earth stands out like a diamond among quartz among the DOS games with some unusually high stakes, defense against the enemy, and an occasional random event. This game puts you can charge of an isolated moonbase when life on Earth has been destroyed in a catastrophe and the only other intelligent life is actively hostile to you. Starting with some scarce resources and some limited tech, you gradually build you initial base, explore the solar system using probes, build up defenses against the mutant aggressors, and colonize the solar system before wiping out the enemy. The gameplay is simple yet requires a decent amount of foresight to achieve a good ending. Though the graphics has only a handful of figures you can find, the style in the illustrations should be attractive to some modern gamers. The game prevents the gameplay from being to montonous by throwing in some emergencies, such as a plague outbreak and a rebellion in some of the colonies. Millenium: Return to Earth has an inventive gameplay which should be preserved straying from the standard formula of other strategy games while maintaining the tension of a space survival story.
This was the first PC game I was obsessed with. Grew up playing it all the time on our first family computer. Please make this available so I can relive my childhood!

ParaWorld
ParaWorldThe game-concept is similar to "Age of Empires", which is a real-time strategy game. ParaWorld features food, wood, and stone as resources. Food can be picked from bushes, hunted from animals, fished from the sea, or farmed. Stone is located in limited deposits, and wood, cut from trees, is generally scattered throughout a map. Battles can occur on both land and sea. The story takes place in a parallel dimension, where prehistoric life thrives alongside diverse human civilizations that are not technologically advanced. As a result, dinosaurs take the place of traditional wildlife and livestock, though some of the dinosaurs in-game are highly stylized and not necessarily scientifically accurate. Wild-living dinosaurs can be hunted for food, though some are of dangerous and aggressive species and will attack any player unit that wanders too close. Other prehistoric creatures make an appearance as well, for example woolly mammoths are used where other games might feature elephants. Players advance through epochs in order to unlock new technologies and upgrades.

Trapped within the sprawling metropolis is the city's helpless populace, forced to turn on each other in order to survive. A mysterious piece of technology, the COMP, falls into the hands of you and your peers. This device allows you to form contracts, forcing demons to serve you in battle against the otherworldly creatures. There are others with COMPs, so-called demon tamers, who seek to use the demons to satisfy their own whims-be they for justice, peace, or power-in the chaos that was once downtown Tokyo. Where did the demons come from? Why did they appear? Who created the COMPs, and what is their purpose? These questions must soon be answered, for if you fail to solve the mystery, much more is at stake than your own lives.
