People love Most Wanted more, but I felt more connected to this game. The driving mechanics, the cars, the atmosphere and VIIIIIIBESSSSS, I always felt like this NFS was mine.

This game is so much fun. The driving is solid and trying to win control of more territory is a great game mechanic. It's also a got a fun story, even if it isn't deep. Would love to play this again.

Esse jogo é incrível, quantas tardes eu passei criando a minha equipe, elaborando minha logo, customizando meus carros e ficando tenso nas corridas perigosas nas montanhas de palmont city. Esse game possui a melhor OST dos need for speed.

So many games were introduced to me by my dad, and this was another one of them. The vibes were unmatched. I would love to play it again, and show my dad that this game he showed to me all those years ago can still be played.
The only NFS game with the unique wingman mechanic. Obtaining the complete edition used is practially impossible, and I can no longer play my original copy. With NFS moving to live service it would be great to have some of the older games that aren't on Steam available to play whenever.

This game is pure nostalgia to me. Sounds was intense, cars were responsive and the game was puerto fun. Easy customization and as always, good soundtrack. I miss not being able to play on a co sole.
This is one of many NFS games dropped by EA and would make an amazing addition to GOG since the racing library here is limited at best. The EA abandoned titles include Underground 1 and 2, Carbon, ProStreet, and Shift 1 and 2 and all should be a focus for GOG to obtain.

This is the one I want to play the most, but nobody will remaster it or let us play it on some system or another through backwards capabilities. I always felt like I had more control over the way the car drove in this game than any of the NFS before it or after it. The one that came out with the PS4 and Xbox one x came close but still can't hold up to this in my opinion, especially not the new Underground which I full on sort of regret buying. I think overall presentation of the game went hard, and in my honest opinion if they remastered this and gave us PS5 graphics with the mechanics systems of Carbon, they wouldn't have to lean on BS again. Wish they would think about this.

The last of the best series of racing games to every release, I know N4S continued on to this day but I feel like it was all downhill after this. It would be so nice if EA would rerelease these older classics.

The last of the great NFS games. It's so much fun to drive, win and customize all the different cars. I liked the atmosphere better than in Most Wanted, the night races worked better, even if the music wasn't that great in comparison.

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
