Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (2006)

by Capcom Production Studio 2, Capcom
Genres:Adventure, Hack and slash/Beat 'em up
Themes:Action, Fantasy, Historical
Game modes:Single player
Story:Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is the sixth installment of Capcom's Onimusha overall series, while being the fourth game in the canonical main series. While game retains the action elements from previous Onimusha, it offers a more varied amount of weapons as well as the option of going back to previous stage to unlock new content. The game also introduces a 3D camera as well as the ability to continuously fight alongside AI controlled characters who move depending on the player's orders. Dawn of Dreams was announced by Capcom due to high fan demand and several Capcom members realizing they could expand the action elements from Onimusha after working in Shadow of Rome. The game was designed in order to appeal to skilled gamers rather than the general market which resulted in appealing designs rather than realistic.Show more

Onimusha as a franchise is probably my favorite ever made and this game is the PEAK of Onimusha, I've never experienced a better game than this one in my childhood, so it'd be cool to have Onimusha games on GOG

Onimusha is one of my favorite franchises since I was a kid (imagine my shock at Way of the Sword announcement lol, deep down I always believed it would come back), there's nothing quite like the pacing of action and exploration in this game (maybe Ninja Gaiden Black,) and when it comes to my favorites, I have a hard time picking between 3 and Dawn of Dreams, but in the end I think I had the best time with Dawn of Dreams, I completed it so many times, including the unlockables doin Dark Realm for all characters, even if I lost the save I would simply shrug and do it all over again because I loved it so much. Even though I don't have a ps2 anymore I still kept the game. As it turns out emulating it isn't Ideal because of some strange enemy behaviours that makes it not a precise experience of what this game truly offers, so I believe voting for a port would be the best.
I genuinely dislike this game I think it's one of the worst games in the series but I am voting for it because I do not want to see the series die again. I'm willing to support any port of Dawn of Dreams just so that we can keep getting something out of this series. With Way of the Sword and now a remaster of Onimusha 2 both on the way I just want to see this series thrive again and maybe with a possible remaster of Dawn of Dreams they could do some quality of life similar to what they've done with Onimusha: Warlords HD and will be doing with Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny HD.
Those games also need your vote!

Rayman 3 HD
Rayman 3 HDRayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc is the third major game in the Rayman series, and the sequel to Rayman 2. Rayman 3 was released in 2003. Like its immediate predecessor, it is a 3D platformer. However, Rayman 3's levels are more straightfoward and oriented towards action and combat rather than platforming and exploration. The main campaign of Rayman 3 is temporally linear – unlike the previous games, where Rayman could physically return to completed locations, each Rayman 3 level is visited only once within the storyline. The overall reception of the game was poorer than that of Rayman 2. It is notable for being the first Rayman game not directed by series creator Michel Ancel, who was occupied with the development of Beyond Good & Evil at the time. Ancel played a small role in the development of Rayman 3, assisting the team in various areas (such as Rayman's new look) and meeting with them to brainstorm ideas for characters and environments. Rayman 3 features a points-based scoring system; another first for the series. Players could post their final scores on the then-new RaymanZone website. However, this function was disabled when RaymanZone was retooled to suit the Raving Rabbids games. In February 2009, members of the Rayman Pirate-Community contacted Ubisoft and successfully arranged for the creation of a new Hall of Fame.[1] In July 2011, the PC version of the game joined Rayman Forever and Rayman 2 on the digital distribution network Good Old Games. In March 2012, a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version titled Rayman 3 HD was released, with improved textures, framerate, lighting and audio quality.
