My favorite version of my favorite video game ever made.. It's sad to me that this game is still locked behind the PS3 Playstation store and physical discs. I know Reload is the big P3 thing currently, but something like FES NEEDS to be preserved, because it's a huge reason Atlus is what it is today, plus it has a lot of very subtle changes to the way it presents it's story that makes it worth giving FES a shot.
Between the Portable release and Reload, Persona 3 has quickly topped the list as my favorite game of all time, and I would love to have the opportunity to play the one major version of the game that eludes me. Unfortunately, I do not own a PlayStation 2, and therefore am barred from playing the original definitive version of this timeless classic.

Persona 3 FES is not my favorite Atlus game, but I do think it's one of their most important games the company has made. It defined the direction of the company and allowed them to continue as the JRPG powerhouse we know today. It is also the only game that cannot be played on modern hardware. Persona 3 Portable and Reload have modern releases that are easily accessible on all major platforms, so it stands to reason that Persona 3 FES receive the same treatment. If there's one thing that GOG's plan with the dreamlist can do, is to preserve and make available games of historical and cultural significance to the medium. It might not be the best of Atlus' output, but it is certainly one worth sharing and preserving.
Persona 3 FES is one of the best game in the Persona series. While Persona 3 Reload is already out and Persona 3 Portable is a downgrade (in order to fit into the PSP's UMD), the latter isn't really a good way to experience the OG game. Which is why Persona 3 FES deserve to have the game preserve and have modern gamers to experience the OG.

Persona 3 for many people is their favorite entry in the series. The game itself have so many versions and each version have so many strengths and weaknesses. But of all version that Atlus release, the Persona 3 FES is the one that they did not port it on PC because they think a remake and a PSP version is enough. And for myself, I want to try how the FES version works
One of my favorite games of all time and the remake was so disappointing. This version deserves a rerelease too. Absolutely unmatched in story, characters, atmosphere and soundtrack.

I never had any experience with Persona even though I had PS2 in secondary school. It wasn't until I got into the university and made a friend with a JRPG lover who introduced me to it. I didn't have my PS2 at that time since years past and resorted to emulator. Not a single regret because that was easily one of the best games I ever played. Of course when P3P and P3R came to Steam I knew I had to grab them but I wouldn't say no for FES to be in my PC library too.

FES has some features not available in the other iterations of Persona 3 available on modern hardware, most notably the ability to switch weapons on the protagonist which adds a different level of strategy not present in the other iterations of the game.

Persona 3 is my favorite game, but each version has its own content, making it so you have to play 3 (4 if you're very detallist) versions to have the full package. Two of them are avaible in modern plataforms, but FES is still stuck in PS3. It would be ideal if it was brought over to PC as well, while it might not be for everyone, I find FES' art direction of the cutscenes and artworks the best in the series, it should be preserved.
Persona 3 is my favorite game of all time. I do not think I actually could ever write enough about how much I love it's characters, ideas, music, and especially not it's story. It's one that frames Death in a way that legitimately got me out of a dark part of my life, one that was drowning in the despair that existentialism brings. It's a beautiful story that I feel like people need to experience, and for me personally no other version has landed that feeling more than the original game on PS2. Granted FES is an updated version of Persona 3, but it's frankly just the same game with some major improvements and additions, in addition to adding The Answer. Still, I think this game needs to be preserved, if only to respect easily one of the most inspirational and important modern JRPGs of our time. Persona 3 Reload is a good version, but the original is still better to me.

Parasite Eve II
Parasite Eve IIParasite Eve II is an action role-playing survival horror video game released exclusively for the PlayStation. The game was developed by Square and published in Japan in 1999 and in both North America and, unlike the previous game, in PAL regions in 2000. It is the sequel to Parasite Eve and the second game in the series of the same name. Parasite Eve II is set several years after the events in the original game. The protagonist from the first game, Aya Brea, also features in this game as the playable character. She becomes involved with another outbreak of Mitochondrial creatures. Gameplay diverges from the previous game: battles take place in real time and the area of action is less restrictive. The approach is more typical of traditional survival horror games, although some role-playing elements are retained.

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
