A fun game that has much more stuff than one might have expected: siedging castles, mounts, crafting, monster collecting, quests, fun combat and soundtrack that gets stuck in you read forever.
I ended up whistling (badly) the theme long anough to start annoying my family.
And then there's that satisfaction of pulling off a combo.
It's a simple but long game.
I enjoyed spending hours on it, just roaming the map and completing side quests. The contents is diverse, ranging from harsh siege battles, puzzle map, capture and much more. The RPG elements are interesting and allow for various builds.
Sadly, the game is old and hard to find by now.
Being a big fan of the Warlords series of games, I had to at least try this one once I found out that this was based in the same universe. I was quite surprised at how enjoyable I found this game as I don't really go for puzzle games all that much (Tetris of course being a very big exception), but this one really hooked me.
I even found a way to change the portrait for your hero character. The game's asset archive is just a simple ZIP file, so anyone can pull out the portrait graphics, change or replace them, and zip them back up in the archive.
Alien ResurrectionTwo hundred years after the events of Alien³, Lieutenant Ellen Ripley is cloned by military scientists interested in the Alien Queen she had become a host for. Like the "Company" from the earlier films, the military intends to use the Queen to breed a force of bio-weapons. But then something goes wrong; the Aliens they are studying manage to escape, and swarm throughout the science ship. It's up to four stranded heroes - Ripley, Call, DiStephano and Christie - to wipe out the Aliens, and return the ship safely to Earth.
Gameplay is standard FPS action, with limited ammo and plenty of hazards to detour around or find the switch to deactivate. The player switches between the four main characters at each level change, each with a slightly different set of abilities (Call has a motion tracker, Christie has his twin pistols from the film). Levels are based around keeping the Auriga running, and making their way through the ship to escape.Action Horror Survival

JourneyIn Journey the player controls a robed figure in a vast desert, traveling towards a mountain in the distance. Other players on the same journey can be discovered, and two players can meet and assist each other, but they cannot communicate via speech or text and cannot see each other's names. The only form of communication between the two is a musical chime. This chime also transforms dull, stiff pieces of cloth found throughout the levels into vibrant red, affecting the game world and allowing the player to progress through the levels. The robed figure wears a trailing scarf, which when charged by approaching floating pieces of cloth, briefly allows the player to float through the air.
The developers sought to evoke in the player a sense of smallness and wonder, and to forge an emotional connection between them and the anonymous players they meet along the way. The music, composed by Austin Wintory, dynamically responds to the player's actions, building a single theme to represent the game's emotional arc throughout the story. Reviewers of the game praised the visual and auditory art as well as the sense of companionship created by playing with a stranger, calling it a moving and emotional experience.
