I had this game back then, and it was very difficult to complete. I never completed the game by the time the floppy disk got scratched and haven't been able to play it again.
Wait, how is this gem not in GOG ???? Please GOG, make it happen.
Published by Taito and released for Dos and Amiga PC's this classic top down action game has you playing Rambo carrying out missions just as he did in the movie.
I remembered playing a lot of this Rambo game growing up. Later in life I seen the movie this was based on. Personally I enjoyed it more than Contra games I played. I still prefer Metal Slug series though. I felt the explosions stands out. The boss fights are a similar FPS style against military vehicles. There's a little variety within the stages. The audio as a whole was among my favorites for licensed games I had on Sega Genesis. Rambo 3 is action packed that makes causing Hell a lot more fun.
