Oh my god... It would REALLY be a dream to have this come to PC. I got this game when my father bought us our first Ps2, and since we were RE fans, he just got it without even knowing what it was. I remember having have been beaten up on my way home from school as a kid that day 😂 but when i got home, we had this! And ever since i played it, i never forgot it! The Outbreak games were SO ahead of their time! Imagine playing RE the classic way and online with your friends?! This is what you get in this game! The best Online game RE ever had! I made a group of friends playing this online that i have to thia day! My favourite gaming squad! So many great memories... I really would love this coming back, it would be a dream com true for sure! Especially with Online working, but even if it doesn't, we'll find a way, cause you can still play this game online, so we'll definitely find a way!
This was the first Resident Evil game to feature an online mode. Playing up to 4 players and being able to select one of 8 characters, the game was ahead of its time and also a survival horror masterpiece.
It deserves a second chance!
One of the most amazing Online games capcom ever made for RE yet they never bothered to make them on PC if this does come to PC Gog will be the best people in the world cuz Outbreak games deserve so much more than to collect dust !
Anything that might show Capcom that we want a remake/continuation of this series, sign me up. Having an easy way to play these titles with a group of friends would be 🔥
In a nutshell Outbreak is a PS2 Online survival horror not only ahead of it's time full of hidden mechanics and neat game design, it's a unique experience that can't be found nowhere else these days, the kind of game it can only be made once, the story may fall short due to it's troubled development but even with some rough edges here and there the development team at Capcom Studio 1 managed to make it the the best RE Multiplayer game ever made, all thanks to Noritaka Funahashi the genius mind behind Outbreak, with a GOG release his masterpiece will be preserved through generations.
A game way a head of its time when launched. Online was new and not many had the ability to enjoy this gem. Me and my cousin would play for hours online, hope we can bring it back!

Rockman.EXE 4.5 is a spin-off of the Mega Man Battle Network series. It is a simulation game where NetNavis are controlled by the AI, with the players "slotting-in" BattleChips and issuing commands. It was made to be used with the BattleChip toys and BattleChip Gate accessory, which was almost certainly the cause of the title's Japan-exclusivity. The accessories are not required, but without them the game becomes much more difficult.
