This was one of a kind JRPG that I found in my early teens, back when I wanted to play Diablo and couldn't. Ended up addicted to it - simple gameplay and mechanisms, the companion is really useful and very well done/placed into the game. It is quite linear but is still very fun. Would be awesome to have this here as an complete package (all 4 episodes), with support for widescreens and high resolutions so I can finally revive those old good memories of this awesome game!

This is such a hidden gem of a game I would love to see come to GoG! What sticks out to me was the awesome gameplay, awesome music, and fun RPG system. It was released in parts but I would love to see the full game show up here with support for modern systems! I want this game on GoG so that others can also discover this gem of a game!

I've only ever played the first episode. I remember there was an external program that would catalogue the items you had found but you would have to save, quit, scan, and reload. The completionist in me didn't mind the interruptions to gameplay at the time. The first episode was free, acting as a demo for the saga of four. It was fun, and the dog companion was a neat addition to the Diablo formula. I think you can still purchase the episodes from the original developer but it would be amazing for it to be here, preserved on GoG as a complete collection.

One of my childhood games. Couldn't finish because of episodic system. It was pretty immersive though, I remember it brightly till this day and would buy and play with joy!

Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom HeartsKingdom Hearts brings back the gameplay elements featured in the original Kingdom Hearts, though it was developed exclusively for V Cast, Verizon Wireless's broadband services. Sora moves similar to a tank, with one button on the control pad moving him forward, another moving him backwards, and two more turning him left or right. Even with these new controls, Sora can still perform a number of moves aside from running and jumping. He can climb trees and ladders, grasp the edges of platforms and pull himself up, lift and throw objects, and use the Keyblade to slide down zip lines. Sora can still use the Keyblade and also magic, the first spell he learns being Blizzard, to fight like in Kingdom Hearts. Munny and Experience are still earned by defeating Heartless. As opposed to Kingdom Hearts, however, Kingdom Hearts introduced "assistant characters," such as the Caterpillar and Swordman Parrot, as opposed to guest party members.

Drakengard
DrakengardDrakengard follows the story of a kingdomless prince named Caim who fights for the Union against the Empire. Under the Union's protection are the Hierarchs and the Goddess, currently Caim's sister Furiae, who is a human manifestation of one of the four seals that protect the world from being broken. As the game begins, Cain is fatally wounded in a battle with the Empire. Encountering a captured Red Dragon who is also near death, Caim makes a fateful choice. In exchange for both their lives, the Red Dragon and Caim will enter a pact. This pact will forever chain their lives to one another and link their souls, at the cost of something irreplaceable. Recharged with the fires of a Dragon, Caim's vengeance burns over the enemy... The player controls Caim on his quest. The game is separated into three distinct modes: Aerial combat, Ground combat and Event Combat. In Aerial Combat, Caim rides dragonback against a variety of airborne foes breathing fireballs (strong single shots and weaker multiple lock-on shots). The Dragon is agile and is able to evade incoming threats, turning around completely in a moment. In Ground combat, the game is shown in 3rd person though usually large, open areas. Controlling Caim, his primary ability is the use of a variety of weapons found on the battlefield. These are leveled up through continued usage, and specifically through the killing of individual enemies. Though magic (determined by weapon choice), timed attacks and evasion, Caim breaks through enemy armies. Characters recruited as allies by Caim can also be summoned during battles, steadily losing health until control is returned to Caim. In ground combat, Caim may also call forth his Dragon to ride and strafe enemies from the air. The Dragon's movements are generally the same as in aerial combat but more limited and less agile. Event combat is similar to Ground combat, but shown isometrically, restricted to a single weapon and without the aid of a dragon. It is used mainly to tell story sequences. Levels that have been visited before might become "Expedition Missions" which are optional and contain new objectives, enemies and weapons. Additionally, any level previously played in the storyline may be revisited at any time. Depending on Caim's choices (and prerequisites for those choices), there are five different endings to Drakengard.
