Spartan: Total Warrior (2005)

by The Creative Assembly, Sega
Genres:Hack and slash/Beat 'em up
Themes:Action, Historical
Game modes:Single player
Story:An action game spin-off in the Total Warrior series. Play as a mighty Spartan trooper, and battle through hordes of enemies in large environments, while working with allies. Use ultra-violent special attacks to mow down entire groups of foes at once, with ridiculously bloody effect. The game has a fast-paced, arcade-like, mission-based gameplay. In each mission, you must succeed in minor goals like killing the generals of the opposition, escorting sappers to blow up enemy siege weaponry and preventing the enemy from making to behind your borders. The storyline progresses through cutscenes, shown in-between each mission. Depending on how you succeed in your mission, you get "tokens", which you can use to upgrade the health, damage or power of your character. The player is capable of doing special moves, which can be learned throughout the game. Some of the special moves gain their powers through the spartan gods, that aid the player in his battle. During the game, you can find different weapons like swords, bows and spears, and of course, shields.Show more

Loves this game, I remember it was one of the last games I bought for my original Xbox. It was 2005, the Xbox 360 was already on its way, so it was one of the last hurrahs of a great console. Months later my OG Xbox died and I couldn't play it anymore. It was only released on Xbox, Ps2 and Gamecube and it was never made backwards compatible or released on PC, si its trapped, TRAPPED forever. And newer generations will never know the magic of fighting like 50 roman soldiers at the same time with a spear.

Foi um dos primeiros jogos que zerei, eu lembro de jogar ele por causa do God of War, e simplesmente achei o jogo sensacional. A gameplay é divertida, a história também é bem envolvente, enfim, um jogo que merece ser recordado.

Very glad to be 1 of 344 who remember this game. This was just an enjoyable game, taking on the might of SPQR (ROME), it would be truly amazing to play this again on the PC with enhanced graphics. DO NOT LET THE 344 votes deceive you like God Mars does, this is a game many played but would have forgotten simply because of the passage of time. Please bring this to life again.
Oh; how I would love to play back through this game. I think I remember my favourite weapon was the Sword/Sheild combo that would allow you to turn your enemies to stone. I don't really remember the finer details right now, but I believe I had an absolute blast with the weapons and specials against all the enemies sent at you in this game. Please preserve this game!

BloodRayne: Betrayal
BloodRayne: BetrayalBloodRayne: Betrayal is a 2011 side-scrolling action-adventure game. It is the third title in the BloodRayne series. Unlike the previous 3D hack 'n slash games before it, this game is a 2D side scroller with HD graphic sprites and very bloody attacks. It's unknown whether or not the game takes place in the same continuity as the rest of the series as its story seems self-contained. The game has a high level of difficulty, comparable to that of games such as Ninja Gaiden and some of the achievements require hours of work to achieve.
