Story:Jar Jar throws his Bongo racing ride into warp speed with his very own exciting big-headed kart racer Star Wars: Super Bombad Racing! Everybody from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace has put their intergalactic troubles aside to enter into a wild racing adventure -- Queen Amidala, Anakin, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Sebulba, Bos Nass, Sebulba, and even Darth Maul are all out for that checkered flag. Each racer gets to ride special racing vehicles (a Pod Racer, a Sith Interceptor, a Naboo Fighter), and with the different vehicles comes individually geared racing controls.
Once the green light flashes, it’s a crazy dash for the finish across famous STAR WARS locations, with flying missiles and colorful power-ups blasting all over the map. Get mad air off jumps and crack open secret locations to find all of the game’s hidden special features. The graphics consist of a diagonally scrolling playfield which creates a pseudo 3D environment. The backgrounds are drawn using 2D scrolling planes, but the enemy and ship objects are drawn using 3D flat-shaded polygons.
Although the basic goal of each of the 9 levels is to shoot everything without getting shot, the game has a strategic element. Your basic spacecraft has very little firepower, and can only sustain one hit. To make matters worse, there are very few power-ups. In order to survive, you have to jump on top of enemies and take control of their weapons systems. This system allows for a large variety of player-controllable ships.Action Science fiction
Highway HunterHighway Hunter is a DOS-based video game created in 1994. It was developed by Omega Integral Systems, released by Safari Software, and distributed by Epic MegaGames (now Epic Games).
The game uses a top-down view. The player's car is situated on a raised highway. The ground is visible on the sides. The player's car is constantly moving upwards through the level, though the player can maneuver his car around the screen within the boundaries of the highway. The player fires at enemies that come from the top of the screen. There are ground enemies on the highway and flying enemies that can come in from the sides or the top. Some enemies may drop weapon power ups which make the player car's projectiles stronger or more numerous. The game is divided into three episodes each with a number of levels, with a boss at the end of each level. The shareware version omits the second and third episodes. Gameplay is similar but slightly different to previous games in the series. XGRA features a wide range of riders, tracks and bikes that can accelerate at an incredibly rapid rate, going from 0 to 300 mph in a matter of seconds. A returning feature is the ability to break sound barrier: upon reaching 750MPH, all sound effects will cut out, except for item collection sound, other tider's taunts, weapons firing, and in-game music.
