Story:Stella Glow is strategy RPG for the Nintendo 3DS system developed by Imageepoch (Luminous Arc franchise). As most reluctant heroes do, Stella Glow protagonist Alto starts as a country boy in a small town. One day, he hears a song coming from the forest (which is odd, since song has been absent on the planet for thousands of years), where he discovers the lone Hilda. But after the chance encounter, Hilda reveals she's the Witch of Destruction, hellbent on destroying the world with her harbingers. As Hilda is about to destroy Alto's hometown, he and Lisette are rescued by the Knights of Regnant Alto will encounter the Regnant Knights and whisked back safely to the kingdom. Alto joins the 9th Regiment for the sole purpose of reuininting the rest of the witches to stop Hilda.Show more

This was a great game, sadly left behind on the 3DS. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the story, which was wonderfully cast by voice actors. The battles were tactical and fun.
Having originally played this on the 3DS, Stella Glow, developed by defunct game developer Imageepoch and being their final game, is a grid-based turn-based JRPG, making a call back to their first game of a similar status -- Luminous Arc. It's music and cast are characters are memorable and fantastic, and the story is just as much. I would love to see this make a comeback on PC!
Yup, since I did played the luminous arc (except the third one). I eard about this game and purchased it (twice, since I sold it after completing it, and regreting it later).
Would be nice to have it on GOG. My 3DS won't last forever.
I really love some of the music in this game, like blazing light, or ice world.
And even if I also like Mordi's song, can't say I used them much in game (balance ). I remember spamming Lisette's song in battle, even if I'm not a real fan of those. And of course, for a game of this scope : voice acting ( not always, but very often) I listened to the english one (sue me) when playing and had nothing to say against it ( but I'm no expert).
This game has some of the best music and one of the most emotionally heartfelt stories of any game I have ever experienced. Sadly, it a rather niche game that is now unavailable for legitimate purchase, and there is no good way to share that experience with others. Considering that Imageepoch is defunct, GOG is probably it's best chance of ever seeing the light of day again.

This is one of the few strategy games where you cannot build a base and recruit units. Instead you lead up to three squads into combat. Each squad contains a leader, five soldiers and one specialist (medic, engineer, PSI for detecting hidden bugs, MIST-Trooper as a sniper). During a mission there is no reinforcement and you are outnumbered by the bugs. The enemy units are not very intelligent, but they use their own special abilities like splitting acid and are very powerful. There is a wide range of enemies, from simple close-range fighters to suicide units, artillery bugs and even human soldiers. The mission objectives are also different. From simple hunting missions up to escorts or the capturing of bugs.
The game also have a RPG part. Surviving soldiers gain experience points for each killed bug / destroyed bug holes. By and by the soldiers increase their states and acquire higher ranks. Better battle suits (armor) and stronger weapons are only available for soldiers with high ranks. The basic soldier (called Cat Trooper) have no armor and is an easy prey for the bugs. Besides the experience points you gather upgrade points for your equipment for e.g. increase the damage of the weapons. Another aspect of the RPG part is that you can equip each of your soldiers individual with up to two different weapons and two tech-items (like bombs or toxic gas).
The graphic of the landscape is low on details, everything looks post apocalyptic. Much better is the combat graphic and the explosions. The cutscenes are made with the in-game graphic. Besides the sound effects your soldiers all have a voice to confirm your orders.Action Science fiction
