This game is, bar none, the best video game ever made. It is what Solidified my love for JRPGs and I have yet to play any game, let alone in the genre, that is anywhere near it's Equal.
Suikoden II positively impacted my life by showing me the power of loyalty, friendship, and the personal cost of war. Its emotionally rich story and deep political intrigue made me think critically about leadership and the true meaning of justice. The bond between the hero and Jowy deeply moved me, reflecting the complexities of relationships and difficult choices. Recruiting the 108 Stars of Destiny gave me a sense of purpose and connection, making the world feel alive and worth saving. Suikoden II is a fantastic game because it combines heartfelt storytelling with strategic depth, a massive cast of memorable characters, and a timeless message about unity and sacrifice. It reminded me that even in a world torn by conflict, hope and compassion can endure.

Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy VIIIFinal Fantasy VIII is the eighth main installment in the Final Fantasy series. The gameplay makes a departure from many series standards. While it still uses the Active Time Battle system, it deviates from the series' traditional means of boosting a character's power via leveling, although levels are not completely abandoned as they were in Final Fantasy II. In addition, it does not have a Magic Point-based system for spell-casting. Instead, magic is collected, drawn, and created from items, and is used to power up the characters via the junction system.
