Viper Racing

Viper Racing (1998)

by Monster Games, Sierra Entertainment
Genres:Simulator, Racing
Game modes:Single player, Multiplayer
Story:The first simulation of sports-car racing that features exclusively the Dodge Viper, one of the most popular racing cars on the road today. Viper Racing combines both the easy-to-master arcade racing mode and the challenge of a serious simulation mode with three levels of difficulty. A career mode is included to let you earn money to upgrade your car and move up through three different classes of the Viper racing league. Many tracks are included, along with replays, for reviewing races later, and a garage mode, for tweaking your setup. There are also hacks, including the ability to drive planes, but none of these are particularly useful, nor well-polished, except the 'exotic' car. (Most of the vehicle models are incomplete). Viper Racing's physics were very advanced for its time, and the AI, when set to hard, can even get into car-fights with you!Show more

The first racing game I experienced that had crash physics where the car deformed. Remember just driving around crashing to see how little of the car would be left.

PC Fútbol 3.0
PC Fútbol 3.0Iteration of the PC Fútbol series. It includes an updating of each of the aspects of the game according to the 1994/95 season of the Spanish Primera División, including database, line-ups, team information and such. But not just that. This edition was specially "revolutionary" as it was the first of the series to allow you to buy players from other teams, and also to let you continue playing one season after another, to test if you can get a better position having different players from the start.

Ignite
IgniteEvery race is different in Ignite. Each race brings something new as players try to win by using their own tactics. The score system in Ignite allows for tactics to be used during a race. Gathering score allows the use of nitro in the race and converts to time bonus at the end. So short term usage of nitro can help the players get out of situations ahead of the others but using a lot of nitro and thus score may cost him the game. There are different methods of gathering score (drafting, hitting objects, drifting) and some cars are more suited for a method then the other. Choosing the right car for the preferred method and playing out your strategy will make the player win the game.
