Warcraft: Orcs & Humans (1994) and Warcraft II (1995) are legendary real-time strategy games that built the foundation for the Warcraft universe, leading to Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, and beyond. These games defined PC gaming in the '90s and introduced millions to Blizzard’s unique blend of storytelling, strategy, and fantasy. Both games were once available on GOG—and now, fans are asking: Why aren’t they anymore? Why they deserve to return: Classic RTS History: These games shaped the genre and inspired countless developers and franchises. Preservation Matters: GOG is a champion of gaming history—these titles belong in its library. Optimized for Modern PCs: GOG’s versions ran on current systems with quality-of-life updates while staying true to the originals. Lore Origins: For fans of the Warcraft universe, these are the roots—the first battles between Orcs and Humans. Offline, DRM-Free Strategy: The perfect way to relive these games without launchers or restrictions. Warcraft I & II aren’t just games—they’re history. They deserve to be kept alive, accessible, and celebrated on a platform like GOG, where classic games get the respect they deserve.

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age
The Lord of the Rings: The Third AgeThe Lord of the Rings:The Third Age introduces entirely new characters which aren't mentioned in the books or movies. The game does relate to the movies by including scenes from all three movies, with new background speech by Ian McKellen (Gandalf). There are seven playable characters in the game which have been created specifically for it, as well a small appearances by characters such as Gandalf, Aragorn, Eowyn, Faramir, and Gothmog. The game covers events in all three movies/books, mostly with references to major events shown through cut scenes, or the scenes from the movies with Ian McKellan's narration. A classic RPG game, The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age has gameplay elements similar to Final Fantasy, where you have a party of characters, each with a different set of skills and attributes, who gain levels, making them stronger as the game progresses. Battles are turn-based, and let the gamer make different decisions on what they want to do to change the outcome of the battle. The game travels through many areas throughout Tolkien's Middle Earth, including The Pelennor Fields and Moria.

The Lost Vikings
The Lost VikingsThe Lost Vikings is a puzzle-platform video game developed by Silicon & Synapse (now Blizzard Entertainment) and published by Interplay. The game features infinite opportunities of retries in case the player loses one of the Vikings. In 2015, The Lost Vikings were added as a playable hero in Heroes of the Storm, allowing players to control the three Vikings as individual units, making a unique departure from the typical heroes available. Character abilities: All three Vikings (Erik, Baleog and Olaf) have three health points which they can lose by getting hurt by enemies or by falling from great heights, and the ability to carry and use items, mainly keys, bombs, and food (which restore health points). Each of the Vikings has a unique set of abilities: Erik can run faster than the other two, can jump, and can bash through some walls (and enemies) with his helmet. Baleog can kill enemies with his sword, or from a distance with his bow (and a "life-time supply of arrows"). The bow can also be used to hit switches from a distance. Olaf can block enemies and their projectiles with his shield, and use his shield as a hang glider. Olaf's shield can also be used as a stepping stone for Erik to enable him to reach higher ground, which would not be possible without the shield.
