I have to use a speedhack and run the game at 5x the normal speed for it to feel comfortable. I dont mean low FPS or anything performance related, but the game itself feels really slow. In terms of movement, combat, etc.

Edit : As an example, the idle animations for watchers in candle keep look REALLY slow unless i use a speedhack to bump the game speed up.

Edit : Nevermind, seems the game is set to run at 30 fps by default, changed it to 60 in baldur.lua and everything works fine now.

That will change the speed of everything in the game, including quest timers. Good luck when you come back complaining that quests are borked.
Why was that not an issue with the original games? I have yet to experience any issues with timers.

Playing at 30 fps is awful. Do you really play at 30 fps? Its like a slideshow.

It was. It was changed in BGConfig as an AI timer.

Yes I do and no it's not.

Because the original games were made by people who knew what they were doing.
