Hello!
Today your uncle Jason will tell you how to fight Kangaxx. IMO, he's the most powerful enemy in Shadows of Amn. Based on his resistances, spell loadout, and items, I think he can easily kill any other NPC in the game. And now I'm going to tell you how to fight him like a pro.
You need two protection from undead scrolls. You can get these from any temple in Amn. Have your party out of sight, and choose who is going to fight Kangaxx. Talk to Kangaxx, use the scroll, and just beat him down until the first phase is done. He won't be able to do anything as long as the protection is active. The second phase won't start until the protection wears off. When the second phase starts, use the other scroll, and just beat him down some more. No, I'm not !@#$ing with your head. That's really all there is to it. This isn't a glitch, cheese, exploit, or anything like that. It's just an absurdly broken spell in the game. In a way it's like the Shield of Balduran. It's a normal part of the game - but because it's so powerful, it does sort of feel like cheating.
Other methods include the mace of disruption. This is easier said than done, because Mr. Kangaxx isn't going to just stand there and politely wait for the mace's proc to kick in. In fact, I've never got it to work. There is a cheese strategy of setting a bunch of traps where he spawns. But if you have nothing against using cheese, you might as well use the scrolls.
Thanks for replying.
