20 hours in-game and i have just found that I have had set NORMAL difficulty instead of CORE RULES as it should be! I have been wondering all the time why the hell the game is such an easy task (such a high damage, every spell learned instantly, etc) compared to BG1 and I almost collapsed when I found it out.
BG 2 Complete has set default difficulty as NORMAL so please be aware of that before playing. Set the indicator one step to the right to play on the correct difficulty. I am really pissed off!
Now I have read some forums and found that the original BG2 had CORE RULES set defaultly but with another updates and expansions they changed it to NORMAL (no idea why they did this) and that is why BG 2 Complete has default difficulty NORMAL and that applies also for BG 2 Enhanced Edition.
