Classic BG2. I'm on level four of Watcher's Keep, chapter 6 of SOA, and I've got more unique swords than I know what to do with, and most of them are just taking up room and making it difficult to decide what to wield. Some of them have got to be clearly less useful than others, right? Scimitars excepted - Jaheira is my only scimitar user, and Spectral Brand appears to be the best scimitar available to her, so I have that and dumped Belm (+1 APR would be nice for offhand but she doesn't have dual wield skill) and Rashad's Talon (it's just a +2, right?).

Carsomyr for Keldorn, Purifier or Foebane for Minsc, and Short Sword of Mask for Jan. You can upgrade all of those in Throne of Bhaal. The rest are useless to you, so sell them for shinies.

I think a few of those swords deal some fire damage. Keep them around for finishing off trolls that you've downed.

For general use, Carsomyr for Keldorn is an easy choice. For the rest, I'd have to look up the stats to give a decent answer.

Who else do you have in your party, and who do you plan to take through ToB?
I actually just started ToB. Going in, my party looked like this:

Charname - Fighter with flail of ages
Jaheira - Spectral Brand
Minsc - Harbinger, plus all the longswords, including Angurvadal, but excluding Namarra which I sold
Jan - Short Sword of Mask
Imoen - Boneblade
Keldorn - Carsomyr, plus Foebane and Purifier

Sold these swords:
Flame of the North - +2 just won't do it any more, even if it does +4 damage to evil
Hallowed Redeemer - Ability seems kind of useless
Lilarcor - The best thing about it is immunity to charm/confusion, and The Equalizer already does that
Blade of Searing - Just a +3 bastard sword with a 1 additional fire damage. Doesn't seem like I would ever use this over Carsomyr or Purifier.
Jhor the Bleeder - Just a +2, bonus of 1 dmg/sec seems too small to be useful.
Namarra - Just a +2 with +4 bonus damage
Short swords other than Sword of Mask

On arrival in the pocket dimension, I swapped Keldorn for Mr. ToB. Having three zweihander tanks seemed excessive. I'll miss Carsomyr and dispel as an ability, but I think I'd miss Minsc's dialogue more.
