So, I love a lot of games that are pretty universally hated (one being Arcania: Gothic 4 that brought down JoWood) and would love to hear the game(s) you love that almost everyone hates. Bring 'em on!

Argh, would be easier if you did it the other way around because this one is tough for me as i more often than not have a decently high bar or very unusual taste in games.

One thing i can say is that i absolutely hate ArcaniA, if i got the game free of charge, i would throw it in the garbage bin both digitally or physically depending on the version.

Well, I guess HuniePop but that's only because no one will admit that they love it.

I can think of film examples, but not so much game examples.

For some time I thought perhaps Unreal 2, that is until I actually replayed it and discovered that it was painfully mediocre.

Sorry for the sidetrack but what is about Arcania that you love? It's been sitting in my wishlist for ages and I can't make up my mind about it due to mixed reviews. I enjoyed Risen 1 but couldn't get into Risen 2 at all. I've tried Gothic (the first one) years ago but again couldn't get into that either. I'm not sure why, something I just can't put my finger on. So just thought I'd ask, what is it about Arcania that sets it apart?

I was probably the only one who enjoyed Diablo 3 for what it was at release. Sure, some bullshit they pulled fudged customers up the ashtray, but I still enjoyed myself a lot while playing.

For all its quirks, Unreal 2 is a game that I love but everyone hates. It would seem everybody loves Obduction while I hate it. :D

Agents of Mayhem, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Mass Effect 3 come to mind.

I haven't tried it.
