Otakuwolf: Also gotta love this segment from Wikipedia:

"Though they had planned on offering the content to all users since the Kickstarter, including those with DRM-free versions of the game as through GOG.com, League of Geeks found that being able to support the content on the DRM-free platform was a task beyond their resources. Co-found Trent Kusters stated "given infinite resources and time we could undertake the task of rewriting the underlying architecture at the core of this decision, but that's straight up not feasible for a vast number of reasons that are unique to [League of Geeks], Armello, where we're standing right now and where we see Armello's future."

That excuse sure seems out of the window when they keep pumping out so much content on the Steam version, isn't it ?
Not to mention the fact that it's been ported to other systems. It's a lot more work to port a game from PC to a console than it is to support the PC version in more than one store. That excuse is 100% PR BS.

But it doesn't make any difference whether their excuse is valid or invalid. Either way, there's still nothing you can do about it. You can't force them to put the game back on GOG, and nor can anyone else.

If they don't want to, then they don't want to, regardless of what their reasons for not wanting to are, and regardless of if their reasons are bad ones.

The same reasoning would apply to devs who don't have achievements in GOG games despite them being in the Scheme version, but that hasn't stopped you, lol.

Not really...it's a Unity game, so porting to other platforms is (usually) trivial, whereas implementing a different store architecture would involve at least some work. I don't know what method they're using, so it's very possible there's at least a little BS involved, but it's not 100%.

There are still interface changes required to make it a decent console port, but I get you. Still, the way they wrote it makes it sound like GOG doesn't support DLC.
I wonder... does the game use microtransactions on Steam? I know Steam lets you sell DLC from within the game itself. Maybe they were very attached to this idea and didn't like the fact that GOG doesn't support it.

It does. It even has its own item shop accessible from the store page.

I bet you that's the reason. There's nothing stopping them selling DLC here in the normal external way, they just don't want to give up the in-game shop.

Indeed, personally I wouldn't give two Fs about characters skins, BUT I would have bought some extra characters to play even against the computer.

Besides, I never expected to play online with randoms either, and yet base online functionalities for LAN and Private server play are seemingly not that hard to implement in a game either.
I have a friend who is a Fallout modder AND works on other games as well, and I visited him while he was working on the online feature for a "plane game" using the Unity engine... he did it alone in a few days between coding and testing... either he is a genius or League of Jerks are just talking crap because they couldn't be bothered period.
