Hey all,
I'm new to this site here, but I had a quick question. I recently bought a computer with the attached specifications. I want to get all the Descent games, but I want to make sure they are all compatible, including with DirectX, and what I might need to be on the lookout for concerning Windows 10 updates. Thanks

Descent 3 was released 20 odd years ago, I expect most machines will be able to run it.
The installer should install the right directx for you, if not you can always grab the Microsoft dx installer for that.
Win 10 updates can sometimes alter things, they put that message on their because there is always a chance that some change will break something. One big issue when win 10 released was they dropped support for some drm software (which was a good thing!), but from that everybody now states win 10 is not compatible with anything, it’s rubbish, everything can be made to run on it. If you have any further issues check out pcgamingwiki:

That has a load of information and additional things.

The Pentium Silver isn't a great processor from a gaming perspective (it's a super low power one) - single core performance is probably similar to the old Athlon II chips (c 2005-2006); it's hard to get good gaming benchmarks though. However, this should be enough for dosbox emulation and older native windows games.
