When I start my game(curse of azure bonds), it starts up full screen. When I alt -tab back, it minimizes the dos box and my screen is black in dos. How do i fix this?

Never saw a problem like this with DOSBox.

Try changing the "output" variable to "overlay" in the DOSBox config file.


edit: actually using this parameter I was able to reproduce the problem. Funny ... until recently this always worked. I guess something in the graphics driver is different.

Try one of the other settings described in the config file, surface for example.

Also a whole different DOSBox version might be the better idea anyway, the one shipped with GOG Games is the official one which is several years old.

How do i start the dos box in a window mode? Can i change the size of window on start up?

Be aware that surface mode does not allow scaling.

I think Alt+Enter should toggle it back from a window to full screen. I dunno about the black screen though.

Just an idea; instead of using "Alt+Tab", use "Alt+Enter" to make it a window.
