OK so we just wrapped up Sony's showcase, is anybody else pissed over this? Am I the only one who see's a problem here? I'm sorry but I thought the idea was to actually see your five years of work on CP2077 actually come to life at E3 via teaser trailer into main trailer into extended main trailer and then some gameplay and yes lots and lots of details from some of your team on combat and mechanics and the augs, vehicles upgrades, side missions etc we can expect from the game.

But instead of this, we have only the very 1st part of this - the teaser trailer, sorry but this won't do, I expected a LOT more after 5 years of waiting, you reactivated the twitter at the start of the year, clearly you were building towards an E3 reveal because...why would you NOT do it all on the biggest gaming event of the year?

So I am left bitterly disappointed here and I don't understand this at all, I'm angry, I'm pissed, I really REALLY want the fans and community to hurt you really badly right now, HOWEVER this backlash could all be for nothing, I could be dead wrong on this and your going gold in September and launching in November just as I predicted, that's how I called it.

Tell me I'm wrong, tell me you have something more planned this year for CP2077, because to me the game's done, this is not pulling a duke nukem forever, this is not another final fantasy 15 ten year wait from versus thirteen, your team delivered witcher 3 in a 5 year timeframe roughly and then added 2 expansions and we all love it, even 2 years later.

Yes you will do a standard version and a collectors version with bonuses and goodies and all that, but I cannot right now put any faith or loyalty into you at all, you have to me mentally gone from heaven to hell in one fell swoop overnight and it pains me to say that because your perhaps THE best gaming company out there right now, but you have hurt me and you have hurt others, if you don't think this will get called out as the #1 biggest letdown from E3 2018 then your dead wrong...all of you, the fans, the community and gaming history does not forgive and it most certainly does not forget and it has a LONG memory such as the PS3 $499 debacle from way back several years ago.

Well it can forgive, but company's rarely repair damage because there's no profit in it for them, nothing to gain, make no mistake, I love this game and want it at launch, CE or however it's done, but right now you have given me zero reason to do anything other than walk away and wait a few years for it all going cheap somewhere on the net, yes the teaser hypes us up, but hype can harm as well as help, it's a double edged sword and that's not always a good thing.

Just remember CDPR, your the one's that hyped US for e3...you...nobody else, we expected more, we expected better from you and we just wanted some details, somebody from your team to come out and explain stuff, it's not much to ask after five years in my opinion, hope you all understand where I'm coming from with this and I'm sorry if I'm hurting anybody's feelings, perhaps I am wroing, but right now I feel SO let down by your team.

Meth. Not even once.
Yes it's disappointing to be waiting for many years and still not knowing much of the game but you are overreacting, maybe CD Projekt RED isn't as far into the development as many think and it's not polished enough to show of real gameplay just yet considering how large the game is supposed to be even compared to Witcher 3.

If CD Projekt RED showed gameplay and wasn't ready then the fans would be disappointed or even pissed so there's no reason to "hurt" them for that.

After all they do stuff when they are ready and not before, if the game turn out to be bad when they release it then sure criticise them how much you want but i think it's a bit early still.

Blood and Wine expansion released just a bit over 2 years ago after all and Witcher 3 3 years so it haven't been that long, they just announced the game far too early imo.

CelestialBunny:
Firstly, this is GOG. Not CDPR.

Secondly, CDPR has hidden a message in that trailer. Seems you haven't read it yet, so go take a look. After that, you can go rant at the right forum if you want.

This.
E3 doesn't technically start until tomorrow (June 12 for those of you already in the future). At least wait till after the press gets their hands on Cyberpunk (if they do) and what details CDPR will reveal to them over the next few days.

That's entitled and out of line and you are overreacting and being a jerk.
It will be done when it's ready, and shown when it's ready. They should take the time needed, as they have done before. I never understand why this bothers anyone who isn't dying of a terminal disease (and for those who are: that sucks and I am sorry).

You're right i would rather wait a few more years and get a good game then for them to rush it get a incomplete game
I don't understand the OP's problem. They are just building up hype right now. Have you asked for any money for preorders? No. So it probably won't happen this year. Next year at E3 we will probably have some sort of gameplay demo. This year probably is GWENT's year with the single player and thronebreaker campaign.

Dude.

Chill.

Here's a pro-tip for being a video gamer in 2018 and beyond: Don't buy into the hype, don't pre-order, and don't get excited for a game until it's fully released, patched up and received positive reviews.

I'm fairly interested in the game as well, and it's nice to see such genuine excitement and anticipation, but frankly, you're better off if you relax and keep your expectations low for now. If the game turns out to be great, you'll still have plenty of time to go crazy post-release.

Also:

"... the fans, the community and gaming history does not forgive and it most certainly does not forget and it has a LONG memory"

Aside from sounding rather melodramatic, this is, in fact, wrong. The "gaming community" consists primarily of braindead zombies, with the memory of a goldfish.

Remember how often EA, Microsoft, Activision, Ubisoft etc. screwed over customers and games developers alike? Notice how they're still around and successful as ever? ... Yeah.

You lost me. What is the community supposed to not forget and not forgive? Has CDPR commited some sort of crime against gamers?

If anyhting, their "it'll be done when it's done" approach should give us hope they're, once again, going for quality over quick buck.

Granted, I'm looking forward to CP2077's release and hope it'll turn out great, but I did not expect to see much of it on this E3, so I don't feel disappointed at all.

The attitude you're displaying here, screams of entitlement. Don't be that guy. Look at the TES-community. All they got was a camera flyby over some hills and a title drop, no release date other than "after Starfield", and they are dancing around overjoyed, organizing fapping orgies (when they're not arguing over which part of Nirn those hills belong to, of course).

And for the record: the biggest disappointment of E3 so far will probably go to the lack of Splinter Cell announcement. Given the tease via this year's bonus Ghost Recon mish and the supposed leak on Walmart Canada's side, many people were full of expectations and were left empty handed. CDPR did give us something and I'm quite happy with what we got.

Yes, this. I was a bit shocked. I thought, is the whole of E3 already over? I've little know-how about how E3 works, but I did remember it was supposed to go on for a few more days. I'm expecting more Cyberpunk stuff up during the press conference. So if that was it, I have to admit I might empathize with the OP. I would love more details. Like skills, gameplay, mechanics and character stuff. /v/ was shitting bricks over the daylight thing in the trailer. And I have to confess to not being a fan of day/night cycles. Vampire bloodlines did the atmospheric thing well. I'm convinced with the talent that CD project red has, they could do the same without jolting anything.

Oh, it's CelestialBunny again. I thought they'd disappeared for good, but unfortunately it is not the case.
Well, at least this time they are not outraged because they didn't get enough free games due to GOG's inherent maliciousness.
