I tried to link a Wikipedia page in a topic about retro gaming, but this url turns out utterly wrong:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_History_Channel:_Civil_War_%E2%80%93_A_Nation_Divided

Above is what I get when I just paste the url. When I try formatting to have a named link I get:

History Channel Civil War

What the hell does go wrong?

*edit: in the preview I get to see when I create my post, it does show up like it should, an underlined link called 'History Channel Civil War'

Does it matter whether or not I have Adalia's Fundamentals and Barefoot Essentials active to make the forum usable?

It's a very old problem, the forum software has problems with some characters in URLs. You could use this to encode problematic parts before posting them https://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_urlencode.asp

Thank you, I bookmarked the link.
