Hello,

as you might know, Amazon Prime is offering Morrowind this month. I claimed it and it is showing in my library, but it is not displayed as a game I own as it should... and it is still shown in my wish list, too. Does anybody have the same problem maybe?

That's how that works for everybody. For some reason some games from Prime are treated as a separate position in GOG catalogue, so they don't show as owned, they don't disappear from wishlist and so on.

Package 1432185303 is a different item than the one sold in the store, 1440163901. Both of them include the game. Why they chose to implement things this way is anyone's guess.

The same thing happened with Oblivion. That one doesn't have a separate package, so presumably Amazon Prime granted the game directly. Since the store doesn't count packages as owned when every individual component is owned, it remains unmarked as well.

That's on top of every other game that's not properly marked as owned. Notably, owning The Witcher 3 Complete doesn't mark the base game and DLC as owned.

Now that you own it, simply take it off your wishlist, and remember that you don't have to rebuy it here on GOG.

If ever in doubt (let's say: Morrowind" is on sale, and you feel tempted to buy it), quickly check your account first.

Normally, I have a pretty good idea, whether I own a game already, but in some cases (e.g.: when the Fallout games got new released under another publisher), I had to check to make sure that I already owned the titles (as "classic" versions).

It kind of sucks, but pretty soon you'll have remembered that "Morrowind" is one of the titles that you already own, despite it not being shown as "owned" in the store.

Edit: btw - has anybody checked, whether one could buy the GOG "Morrowind", despite already owning the Amazon "Morrowind"?
Would it allow the purchase, or would it say "you already own some of the items in your cart, therefore you can only buy as a gift" (or something like that)?

Thanks for all the replies, I was just wondering why that is, because it shouldn't be like this. Last month, I claimed Dishonoured 2 also offered by Prime, and there it worked just fine... Dishonoured 2 is displayed as owned. Now Morrowind is not and I am just wondering why.

One word: GOG.
That's why.
Inconsistency is their second name.

Do not fret, just wonder. ;)

Their confidence in their parnership with Amazon seems ... limited.
